They are not equivalent to an escape room, but the puzzles and linear tracking are similar to what you do in an escape room. I was hoping for an actual room to navigate, which this company does offer, but not for this particular game. So maybe I’ll try that version out. Either way this online escape game was challenging and fun, I completed it with a friend, we bought 2 and he did it on his laptop and I did mines on my iPad, as just worked together to solve the puzzles, each entering the info on our own game. So it kind of does give you that escape room partner/friend feel doing it that way, but we were in two different locations. We did it over FaceTime. I don’t think that we would do it again, simply because now that we now exactly what it is and how it works, there are way too many free puzzle games or even escape room games in the App Store to do, we don’t need to buy this for that purpose. For the actual live escape room option then yes, but this version no. Was it ok?… yes. Worth the $10 each? ….. no.
