Yacht HeistTotal EscapeEscape roomIRLIt was nice to do an escape/puzzle experience that could end when we felt we were done. The progression did feel like breaking into the yacht and I enjoyed it was not exactly linear (needed to use/remember elements from prior rooms). The set design and punny humor throughout were great.
Heresy: 1897Doors of DivergenceEscape roomIRLI very much like the meta world for the chapters as they unfold with a journey across time and how you meet the live actors before and after the games. If we return, I'd also be curious to see how much replayability the divergent paths add. Only notes would be that sometimes the lighting limited reading and that some of the story found through notes and details in the room felt less important to the game and progression than just puzzle solving/"button mashing"
Magical Menagerie: A Christmas AdventureSure Lock Escapes - Stout Oak Adventuring Guild (Kent)Escape roomIRLIntegrating familiar Christmas characters, songs, and creating a bit of whimsical magic. Moreso the game master is watching from afar but involved to ensure your team is having a good experience as with our prior game there.
Trixie's Tavern TrialsSure Lock Escapes - Stout Oak Adventuring Guild (Kent)Escape roomIRLLoved the interaction between the pixie and our room - felt like improv/creativity where you could have a bit of a conversation/snark back and forth. Great world building and scenery, nice puzzles overall.
