Minotaur's LabyrinthMaximum KøbenhavnEscape roomIRLLinear room. It offered some novel puzzles and given the theme was very Greek mythology focused (but that knowledge isn't REQUIRED to enjoy the room). Some puzzles you just have to figure out - the room doesn't just point you at them. Would appreciate if they tied it all together since the room was so linear. That's why just a 👍 and not a ♥️. I was pleasantly surprised by the room being at a big entertainment center. But it was a good time and the location worked well for us. Good mix of technology and some creative elements for puzzles while others were pretty normal escape room puzzles.
The Royal PlayroomRoyal EscapesEscape roomIRLVery interesting room. Quite linear so 2-3 people is optimal. The variety of puzzle solution discovery was fun and the story had some intriguing tie-ins throughput. Only a little spooky, but dimly lit for much of the experience. Good time overall 👍
Børnehjemmet Ambrosius™ [Orphanage Ambrosius™]EscapeeEscape roomIRLFun room and story. Lots of locks, but also lots of special effects and really cool environment. The story and game master were very engaging. We did the game in English, but it did help that we knew some Danish where we were stuck, but there were some helpful elements if you don't know Danish.
Forbrydernes Værksted [The Criminals' Workshop]Escape Room RoskildeEscape roomIRLLots of puzzles in this room make for lots to do for everyone. Don't stop moving and align the puzzles to the objective. They do a good job in offering a variety of methods of solving their puzzles.
Fængselslægens Hemmelighed [The Prison Doctor's Secret]Riddlehouse Escape Room - VridsløselilleEscape roomIRLThe ambiance of being in an old prison already sets the location apart. The story and mechanisms were fun, and encouraged us to work together. Some non-linear puzzles also allowed us to divide and conquer. Fun room, neat location.
Zodiac Patres [prev. Útěk ze žaláře / Medieval Dungeon]The ChamberEscape roomIRLThe puzzles in this room offered a good variety. There is some room to multitask if you're a larger team, but this room is totally workable as a twosome. Adam, the actor, did a great job improvising with our input throughout the experience, and added a lot of fun and entertainment to the experience. Next time we're in Prague, we will have to try another room from the Chamber.
Trezor: Tajemství Jacka Daniela [Safe: The Secret of Jack Daniel]The Padlock CemeteryEscape roomIRLVery fun room. Rustic elements backed by some high tech mechanisms. The set design was a lot of fun, and there were some nice puzzle elements that made us use our heads in a different way.
OutbreakEscape Room by Midgaard Event - ØsterbroEscape roomIRLGood room for something that is also portable. There were various puzzles that our group could work on at the same time while working toward the goal. Some technology, but also some classic locks and sorts of puzzles. Not as emersive as this venue's other games.
Save King's LandingPuzzle Punks - DubrovnikEscape roomIRLVery solid room with good puzzles. You don't need Game of Thrones knowledge but it certainly helps. As an experienced duo, we felt this room played well to our collaboration. The puzzles are linear, which made it a great cooperative room throughout.
Lady Chastity's Reserve - CLOSEDHoudini's FarringdonEscape roomIRLRoom has really good elements. Requires great attention and pace to complete. Stay on task! Host was very good and we missed some key things to be efficient enough to finish. Beware you have more like 50 minutes because the intro eats into your game time.
The Battle for BritainEscape PlanEscape roomIRLGreat room with mostly analog aspects/puzzles, but many were not just locks. Some unique puzzles to make us second guess ourselves. We were able to score the maximum score with just 2 people, but for less experiences groups, it would be good to have 1-2 more people.
Special Ops: Mysterious MarketThe Escape Game - ChicagoEscape roomIRLThe room had a good variety of puzzles. It is a bit dim so flashlights were critical plus they said we could use our phone lights. We had to share the room with 3 young men. This made the room more challenging and we believe with just 2 of us we may have solved it faster as well as has a better time. Much prefer rooms where we book private rather than share with strangers.
After SkiEscape Room RoskildeEscape roomIRLFun room with interesting puzzle elements. Had a great time with 2 players scrambling throughout the room. Mostly linear, but some could be done in parallel.
The Royal CabinetRoyal EscapesEscape roomIRLFun room. While a little dated, there were some fun mechanisms and surprises. Friendly staff.
Pirate ShipMaui Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLFun room with neat locks. We had a team of 2 adults and definitely enjoyed ourselves.
SingularityBooby Trap Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLMechanics were quite fun and the technology was used well.
Alien Autopsy - CLOSEDEscape in Time MadisonEscape roomIRLFun game for a larger group. Some neat surprises along the way.
