Room Escape Ottawa never disappoints! A fun tech heavy game that should check the boxes for beginners and enthusiasts. We really enjoyed it! As someone who does not enjoy a scary room, it had just the right level of fright for a wimp like me. There is one area that may be physically demanding for some players that can quickly/easily be bypassed if desired.

A fun game to play while touring the museum, but the value isn’t really there. Our tween and teen could have easily completed the challenge on their own, so the cost was a little steep since we paid for adults who didn’t participate much. If you have older children/teens, enquire whether they can play solo.

CATastrophe is a decent introduction to escape rooms, but may leave seasoned players wanting more. The room is lock intensive without intricate puzzles or high-tech gadgets. The warmth and friendliness of the staff and the great candy shop made the visit worthwhile.

We loved the set of the room, but struggled with the mechanisms for some of the puzzles, which kind of took the fun out of things. Our game master wasn’t able to explain elements at the end, which was a bit disappointing since we’re very close to finishing. But it’s a great set and would be really fun without the hiccups we experienced.
