Five Senses Escape Room

This was a very enjoyable room for a few reasons. The theming was great, with lots of little Easter eggs for sci-fi movie geeks. As someone else said, the entrance was had the theme built in, before you even got to the room. If you like Ster Trek, you'll like this room. The was almost not even an escape room as much as a cosplay experience. Yes, there is a 60 minute time limit to fulfill the mission and there are puzzles to figure out, but if you ever wanted to know if you could hold it together as an ensign on the USS Farragut when everything is going to heck, this is the room for you. The puzzles *made sense,* with the story. There are no padlocks... but there are no locks that don't have anything to advance the story. I was never a fan of locks just in random places that make no sense. The data at the end is fantastic to those of us who might be a little too competitive. You can see your time and standing in each phase of the game, not just the end. We've never seen anything like this before. This was also a room where we felt that our typical team (family of 4 ages 23 - 50+) participated fairly equally, rather than the engineer brains taking over from the creative types. On the negative side... There are a couple of puzzles that are more of the brute force (no physically... more of keep at it until you finally get there) variety rather than the logic your way through it. After speaking with the owner, he acknowledged this fact, and said that they are in the process of making improvements to address this before they open there next room.
