Chapter 1: Occam's ApartmentOff The Couch GamesEscape roomIRLGenuinely the best escape room I’ve done thus far. The room really did look like an apartment. The hints were given so creatively, they had control of the so many different aspects of the room. The story was definitely interesting as well. I’m personally not someone who enjoys spooky things but I was willing to do the next 2 knowing it was scary because the room was just that good.
Chapter 3: The MorgueOff The Couch GamesEscape roomIRLThis is definitely the scariest room they have. It's not really creepy but you definitely need one brave person at least in your group. This isn't a spoiler since it's revealed during the intro but it does take on a game show esqe method of solving, which definitely was cool and added an interesting layer. But it does really cause that rush when you don't know why points are necessarily being deducted from you. There's nothing too gorey about the room and has more an overt scare tactic vibe. If you have any phobias I would highly recommend mentioning it to your GM. Some puzzles it was hard to tell if you solved them or solved them correctly compared to the previous room, but I would say the puzzles were very interesting and I enjoyed them. Will definitely come back once they build out more rooms!
Wild WestPanIQ Room - San JoseEscape roomIRLThe room was definitely a bit run down and I do think they need to replace some puzzles, but overall the room had a nice flow to it! There were 2 times we kinda brute forced the solution. The GM/staff didn’t really seem into it. This is definitely a chain vibe and not one to go to if you’re introducing people to escape rooms. It’s passable if you just wanna solve something.
Batman™: The Dark Knight ChallengeEscapology - San RamonEscape roomIRLOverall the flow was really bad. The last room had one really difficult puzzle that sunk most of our time. The notification of a successful completion of a puzzle was also not good. There were times we solved a puzzle and didn’t even know it. No one came to collect us when we finished
