It was exciting and fun with a clever set, definitely on brand for the designers. I believe Puzzle Corp could use some extra love in their maintenance and guest service but the game itself was very worth it. Definitely on the easier side. Finale to me was kind of weak and I didn’t fully understand why we were doing what we were doing.

Trapped In NeverlandThe Escape CompanyEscape roomIRLThis was my first experience with The Escape Company and it was not great. The puzzles erre either too vague and required such a big leap to get to the solution or spelled it out for you with no extra thinking. Then you tag on that this place still believes in limiting clues, we were nervous to ask for any help. When we did get help we were not nudged in the correct direction we were told how to solve the puzzle, which was not satisfying. Some of the puzzles were clever concepts but did not deliver in this execution. I do appreciate a non-linear game but when I’m collecting an unknown number of items I hate wasting time staring at something that I don’t have enough of but nothing tells me how much I will get of it so I simply try to connect that item to every little thing as it comes! This is not a ding to the staff, our GM was very kind and seemed to enjoy his job and we appreciate his help.

Puzzles were unique and fun with several surprises along the way! Perfect blend of challenge and flow down to a great finale. The venue was great and clean, our GM David was great, super kind and attentive! Definitely excited to come back for their other game.

Truly, I should share no more and if you are considering playing this game stop reading reviews and just GO PLAY IT!!! Also- TEV staff is always top notch!!
Timeliner: Train Through TimeThe Escape Game - GatlinburgEscape roomIRLSuper fun game with straightforward and clever puzzles. Linear game but the theme and the surprises keep the momentum and fun going. The finale was also well done and I appreciate that TEG has made some more climactic finales as of late. Staff, as usual with TEG, were amazing and made me feel so welcome. There’s a reason this place is successful.

If I had to complain about anything the volume was a little low in the room and I did consistently hear the room next door. But this never bogged down the experience. Might be my favourite from here!
Nightmare HotelGame Over Escape Rooms - OrlandoEscape roomIRLReally wanted to love this one as this was our first time here. I think it may have suffered from its mall location atmosphere. The room was fine with some clever puzzles and moments but our GM truly made the experience so upsetting. We had plenty of time left but we were overhinted unwillingly consistently throughout the room. There was a few puzzles that were just big time wasters which took the majority of the time, and if it was an actual puzzle they only gave us about 1 minute to figure it out before announcing over speaker (sounding annoyed too) the answer. Brought a decent room down to a quite bad time so I’m in no rush to return, sadly.

This room (and TEG as a whole) has a lot of a “puzzle” type that I don’t particularly enjoy but it might just be a skill issue of mine and why I don’t like it. The finale was a lil weak but I did enjoy the surprises. As always, the team at TEG is amazing our GM Becca was great!
Prison BreakThe Escape Game - OrlandoEscape roomIRLA lil tough for 2 players but super fun. I love communication puzzles so this was very enjoyable. A few things towards the end need some tuning up but still amazing nonetheless!
Cosmic CrisisThe Escape Game - MinneapolisEscape roomIRLI LOVED this room! It contained some of my favorite puzzles I have ever done! I think the overall goal of the room was a little simple but how you got everything completed was so fun. The last puzzle and ending sent this room so into my top 5 I had a lot of fun and laughed hard towards the end. Possibly a new favorite from TEG
Gold RushThe Escape Game - OrlandoEscape roomIRLThe room started out so fun then got bogged down at the halfway point with two puzzles that actually quite infuriated me. It took so much time away from us that as we progressed to the end we were overwhelmed with how much was left to do. Some decisions made it annoying but overall the theme and the quality is all there. Also can never complain about the game guides have not had a bad one at TEG yet!
