The Curse of the H.M.S Constantine - CLOSEDAtlas Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLI wish the room was a bit more polished including how notes were provided from staff. Lots of locks and very nonlinear. If you want a lot of puzzles to complete this is the room.
The Stolen RelicThemescape Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLFirst time at this place, and the staff and waiting room were fine. I wish that it was slightly more immediately immersive and try to remove the obvious "I'm in a retail store" view. Also, I found the waiver process a little cumbersome, wish it was an option ahead of time but it's fine. The room was one of their more difficult rooms, ~38% escape rate, and we did fine. There were a couple of spots we hit that were very hidden, but a lot of the things to do were very obvious if you're experienced.
The Upside DownThe Wreck Room Escape GameEscape roomIRLWas really well done, set design was really good, a lot of locks but also some interesting tech. Locks IMO rarely keep the puzzles aligned to the environment, but this was fine. Was an easier room but really liked it. Did this with my MIL and wife, and the MIL did well. She didn't know what to expect but had a great time. I also got caught up watching Back to the Future on the TV instead of playing.
Area 51 - CLOSEDThe Wreck Room Escape GameEscape roomIRLReally a fun run with a variety of linear puzzles. A lot of locks but also some tech interaction. Really good set design and decent immersion.
Dark Heart of the Hotel - Chapter 2303 Escape - Denver Escape RoomEscape roomIRLPart two, and it didn't disappoint. More code solving puzzles than I wanted but it all worked. Set design was once again stellar, including the phallological collection. Would not let anyone under 18 do this one, it has some really graphic imagery. I'd do it again though if I could.
Room 303 - Chapter 1303 Escape - Denver Escape RoomEscape roomIRLTo date this is my favorite room. Set design, tech integration, linear puzzles, and story line all fit well together. One hint and made it thru alive.
Omega Mart [Immersive Art]Meow WolfEscape roomOther It's Meow Wolf, so you know what you're in for. Are do you?
Convergence Station [Immersive Art]Meow WolfEscape roomOther Again, it's Meow Wolf, so yeah, you want bananas, you get bananas.
Curse On The Emerald SeasPuzzle Effect - DenverEscape roomIRLThe set design was good. The puzzles on this one felt really logical and the tech was great. We had a lot of fun in this room.
Amnesia - CLOSEDPuzzle Effect - DenverEscape roomIRLThey do a pretty good job, this room was interesting and requires at least two people because you're split in different rooms. Obviously hints have to go back and forth to get out. some puzzles were obvious to work through. Was disappointed in a few things no longer working because others broke them, but over all was fine. I felt like we could have had a better time with 3 maximum, 4 really felt like too many.
The PathPuzzle Effect - DenverEscape roomIRLA single room and all the puzzles available make it confusing at first because you don't know where to really start. You'll get going and it becomes linear just by process of elimination. The puzzles were good. The room has been a little abused so some things are beat up. The set design is ok again, but with such a small room with three people made it tough. Any more than that, and it would not be good. I liked it but would not do it again.
Treasure Hunt - CLOSEDMission EscapesEscape roomIRLI give this review lightly, because it seems like the person running this place is working very hard to make it his own. For the money, I wanted more from the set design than just some used furniture and pretty basic puzzles. Toward the end it did get better, a bit of a small physical challenge. I want this business to keep going but I recommend they do a bit better on not using the radios for comms, integrate it into the room, because you lose the immersion. The story didn't really make much sense for the set design, so it was just a room with a lot of locks and some tech.
Grim Stacks: Books & BindingPuzzle Effect - DenverEscape roomIRLThe set design was pretty good. Some details need to be polished, but overall, they did a nice job. Tech integration was good, a few locks, and working together was harder given the need to communicate things that aren't words. Very linear and some fun physical puzzles.
The ReelPuzzle Effect - DenverEscape roomIRLPretty fun, some things threw us off on the puzzles, but we got them figured out, lots of interesting team work needed. And the set design was fun since it looked like an old school theater. The only very lame complaint I have is that it's all a bit backwards as it relates to rooms and how you would normally walk into a theater, which is a really lame thing to even review about.
Frost Base ZRabbit Hole Recreation ServicesEscape roomIRLThis was a pretty challenging room. Requires some crawling. A few combo locks but a lot of tech integration. In the end we barely got out by the method of frantic button pushing. I would do it again.
AntidoteEscapology - DenverEscape roomIRLThis was us closing out this location for now, easy room with really straight forward puzzles. Set design was ok but had to be for this room.
NarcoEscapology - DenverEscape roomIRLPretty basic room with physical puzzles, locks and keys, not a lot of tech. Some, but limited to interacting with physical objects. We skipped a couple of key points by accident and solved things anyway.
Prison BreakThe Escape Game - Las Vegas Forum ShopsEscape roomIRLYou don't escape when you have a bunch of people not communicating well and / or have too many people. Start out in two cells, split apart, and you have to work together. Puzzles are linear, set design was good, wanted more, but this is a large venue with many rooms, but immersed nonetheless. Lots of puzzles and time will get you in the end. The puzzles in the last area are no joke, they're tough.
Lost CityEscapology - DenverEscape roomIRLNothing terribly remarking about this one, it was generally fun, decent set design, not a lot of tech, but once again Escapology delivers consistent middle of the road good all around rooms.
Ruins of the Mystic TempleRabbit Hole Recreation ServicesEscape roomIRLThis was our second room here, and the immersion was good. The linear puzzles really did try to steer you in the right direction, but they were very subtle and we had to work hard to understand them a bit more than usual. Once again, great tech integration, immersion, set design was amazing, staff was great, overall just a lot of fun. This is one of those places that makes you sad that they only have three rooms.
