We struggled at times but the atmosphere was incredible. Would recommend following their suggestions of wearing monochrome clothing to really fit in with the ambience they’ve created. We received a pic and a Cipher Room pin upon completion.
Forest of EchoesNext Level EscapeEscape roomIRLEverything about this game was magical. Again, it was two of us and that possibly made it a bit more challenging, but man did we enjoy it! Our GM, Jax, was phenomenal and we couldn’t recommend them highly enough. This little character we are posing with in our photo is Eiya, and she owns my heart. The room is very highly driven by story and it was a unique one for us. It wasn’t timed, and we didn’t feel an urgency to get out, but make sure we’d done everything right. Everything about this room was unique.

The CabinThe Cipher Room NewtownEscape roomIRLOne of our favourites! Did it as a group of 2 and used no hints! The atmosphere was fantastic and we just loved it. Very spooky. We received a Cipher Room pin and photo afterward.
EspionageThe Cipher Room NewtownEscape roomIRLEspionage remains one of our absolute favourites. We always come back and talk about this one! Without revealing too much, there were excellent puzzles and hidden things that was SO enjoyable.
The GameNext Level EscapeEscape roomIRLI’d say this is the most fun we’ve ever had in a room! Staff: incredible. Puzzles: Incredible. Atmosphere and Fun: 10/10 It was so cool competing with our friends with parallel puzzles, and coming together at the end to complete the game. We LOVED this! Next Level Escape are the GOATs
The VaultEscape Rooms CanberraEscape roomIRLWe loved this! We did it as a team of two and found the game very interesting and engaging. There was a puzzle to solve that we found difficult and needed a hint on, completely forgetting that we’d been given instructions on it before the game began (it involves a mobile phone) We didn’t feel particularly welcomed by the staff at this venue, and we didn’t feel that they were enjoying themselves quite as much as other venues we’ve been to.

Would definitely be willing to try it again now that we have more rooms under our belt, but this definitely wasn’t suited for a bunch of novice escapers. Was a lot of fun, though!
Perpetual MotionElude Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLHonestly I completely forgot we did this! We enjoyed some of the puzzles and found that we really kicked it into gear for the first few but then stumbled near the end. Still enjoyed it!
RedemptionEscape Dunedin - Dunedin PrisonEscape roomIRLWe went on a cruise to New Zealand and used one of our port days for a cheeky escape room! This was such a great atmosphere for a room. The ending felt a little bit anticlimactic if I’m completely honest, but it still gets a high rating from us given how good everything else was. We thoroughly enjoyed being locked in the cells to begin with! Did it with 2 people, didn’t use any hints and escaped in time!
