Ongyi’s DreamDeepthinker Escape RoomEscape roomIRLCreative storyline, fun and adorable narrative and creative mechanics. Puzzles are on the simpler end but there's a lot of them (30 puzzles in 65minutes) which I think increases the difficulty. Personally, it's one I will remember for a long time because of how cute and unique both the storyline and mechanisms for puzzles were. Out of the three escape rooms done in korea, this one is by far my favorite, and it rests at the top as one of my favorites (that I have done) that I will happily recommend to my friends.
미씽 삭스 미스터리 [Missing Socks Mystery]Oasis MuseumEscape roomIRLSome of the puzzles lacked clarity, but the lighting helps to direct you away from the other parts of the puzzle in the room. I wish they paused everything in the room when the audio goes on (and I wish it stops after a certain point because it continues to repeat which makes it hard to concentrate). However, how many times will I play an escape room to search for missing socks? It's a pretty cute theme!
최후의 낙원 [Dreadnought]Breakout HongdaeEscape roomIRLThe room was unique in that there are superpowers that you can choose (for two players it is three and for three players and onwards it is matching # of players) and you can sacrifice their abilities to receive hints. More hints than the number of superpowers you give up, you cannot be on the leaderboard. That aspect of it was interesting. The hints are automatically generated so there is not much that the GM has to do in order to run the games. However, I think that the hint system is better done if you can ask questions specific to the puzzle. I found it frustrating for us to get a hint about something we already knew, so we did not feel that the hints were helpful. There is also one superpower that allows you to solve the entire puzzle and we used it because it was time consuming but also felt that the superpowers then carry you to the answer rather than letting you play. I just hate linear rooms with a passion. There is not much for players to do. The translation aspect of it was very nice. I think one part involves actual korean but you could do it without knowing the language. I think for the cost especially, not a bad escape room but nothing to make a special trip out for.
