There were five of us in total (all adults with escape room experience), and we all had a great time. I'll definitely be doing more rooms at PuzzleConnect.

PirateEscape The PuzzleEscape roomIRLThis was a fun, quirky room. I've never been to Escape the Puzzle, but the staff was very nice, and the room was a good time. We were seven people, and we flew through it pretty quickly with only one or two hints. I'll definitely be trying another room here.

You start separated and have to find a way to reunite, then use the remaining time to solve the room. All the puzzles worked perfectly for us, and the logical progression of the room is very good. The set dressing is also enjoyable. No knowledge of Poe is required. The staff was also very friendly and supportive.
Pirate's CoveAxxiom Escape Rooms - NewarkEscape roomIRLOverall, really liked the game play. Everything worked the way it was supposed to and it was a satisfying resolution. My only complaint is that they were too quick to give hints when we didn't need them.
Lost CityEscapology - HolmdelEscape roomIRLSlightly on the easier side, but a fun room. They give you flashlights, but the room is dimly lit and occasionally difficult to see. The puzzles were well done and all the mechanisms worked smoothly. We were able to escape with no hints.
The HeistAxxiom Escape Rooms - NewarkEscape roomIRLWe were two experienced escape room puzzles, and this was a very hard room due mostly to the time each puzzle takes. I don't recommend it if you have fewer than four people in your group. Overall, the puzzles worked as expected and the heist theme was fun. It was an enjoyable room, even if we didn't escape. I've done a few rooms at Axxiom now, and my biggest complaint is the hint system. They are too quick to give hints without being asked, and they aren't really hints; they're answers.
