Dragon RealmMile High Escape OpsEscape roomIRLRoom was themed really well and was much harder than most we have done recently but we enjoyed the challenge. We did it with only 2 people, which was doable but probably could have benefited from 3-4 total to help with different ideas and dividing and conquering. This room was described to us as having two clue paths that will converge so there is enough for multiple people to be working on different things at the same time.
The Book Of SoulsMystic Escape Room - LittletonEscape roomIRLSome novel puzzles in a well themed linear room. As a pair of experienced escape room players, overall I would rate easy/medium if we had done a more thorough search of the room and the revealed crevices, but could see it being more challenging if you've never seen some of the puzzles before. We spent the majority of our time on the sound puzzle, end puzzle, and chasing our tails when we missed an object. There was one piece of a clue at the end that we did not understand, even after explanation, that also hung us up, trying to connect metaphorical dots that weren't there. There was nothing in the room that required more than 2 people and 2 people felt like the right number of players to us.
Plight of the Margo Part 1ConTRAPtions Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLVery well themed and very technical. The were some really cool, unique elements built in. There was SO much to do in these rooms. The GM stated up front that we needed to get to 37.5% complete in order to advance to the second part. We got just over 40% in part 1 with several major hints from the GM. We played with four highly educated adults and struggled to make sense of many the clues. We all agreed that we need more people, though there were also parts where several of us were standing around wondering if we could be doing something while our team was working on a critical step. While we have done dozens of rooms, this was our first escape room that was longer than an hour and both 1.5hr parts FLEW by. As another reviewer mentioned there were many clues that you got early on but didn't need until very late in the second part (or even that we never got to). There are two end objectives to beat the room and we learned before starting part 2 that there's a 10% success rate getting through the first objective and much lower for completing the second and ultimately the room. There are also a couple key tools you need to complete both objectives but you only have one of each so our two teams could not be fully working in parallel.
InnocencePuzzle Effect - DenverEscape roomIRLThemed well with a unique start. We completed with two experienced players with several hints - some provided too soon as we were actively going to do what they were telling us to do and not long after we received the initial clues. There was a delay on several of the keypads or electronic puzzles so we didn't always know that we had completed a puzzle or what completed it. Some unique puzzles even as experienced players. Lots of keys and locks.
