Curse of the Hidden TempleExpedition EscapeEscape roomIRLMy group of 3 (1 adult and 2 teens) really enjoyed this room. The theming and interactions with staff were really fun. It had a nice variety of puzzles, including some neat things I had not seen before. The flow was fairly linear, which helped our ADD group focus and made the puzzles a little easier to solve. It wasn’t the hardest room we have done, but all the effects made it incredibly satisfying to get through the everything. Our GM Erika was super nice and took the time to walk through everything with us at the end. This is the third room we have done at Expedition Escape, and every time we go the rooms are top notch and the staff treats us like rock stars. We can’t wait to go back to do more!
Atlantis: The Forgotten CityHypnotic Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLDid this room with a group of five, including three teenagers. None of us were particularly experienced, but the way all the puzzles worked logically and flowed together made it eminently solvable for us, though with lots of effort and collaboration. We were all super impressed by the set and production values - I really felt like I had stepped into an Ancient Greek temple! My only suggestions for improvement would be the setup in the first room made it a bit difficult for people to split off and work on different things, and it was kind of dark and difficult for me to make out some of the colored items, but those are just small complaints that didn’t affect the overall experience negatively. Shout out to our super nice host Arthur!
Bank HeistExpedition EscapeEscape roomIRLThis was a great old-school escape room - straightforward and low tech. Nothing fancy, but the props and setting were well done. The puzzles all made sense and were solvable without any great leaps of logic (my pet peeve). We needed a few hints, but only because we were not paying attention! Our game master Erika was awesome, and the staff here is always so nice. We definitely will be coming back to do the rest of the rooms!
