Curse of the Hidden TempleExpedition EscapeEscape roomIRLOne of the best rooms we’ve done in terms of manipulable props and creative technology. The gameplay was linear (without red herrings or possibility of search fails) and had a wide variety of puzzles. Josiah was a fantastic guide, too!
Operation BlacksheepclueQuestEscape roomIRLOutstanding gameplay. Some of the best we’ve encountered in terms of flow, challenge level, and variety of puzzles. Moreover, we felt welcomed and attended to throughout the entirety of our experience. The game master even called in to ask if we would like the music lowered when he noticed that our daughter was plugging her ears. (She does so during most escape rooms in case anything jumps out.) We spoke with our game master afterwards, and he said that the few red herrings in the room are there to help him assist with clues. (They cue people to space and time in the narrative, so they make it quicker for the players to act on the hints.) Overall, we really loved the room and wish we lived in London so we could return and play the others!
The Society of Adventures and ExplorersEdge EscapeEscape roomIRLA superb experience with creative and unique puzzles (linear flow and no difficult red herrings), an extremely entertaining atmosphere (especially if you are love Jungle Cruise puns or have any interest in S.E.A. and/or Indiana Jones), and one of the most attentive game masters we have ever experienced. We were thrilled that Dustin asked us about our hint preferences ahead of time. The room itself was perfect for our family of four, which includes a 7- and a 9-year-old. Everyone was able to participate fully, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the variety of puzzles. Edge Escape will now be our #1 choice for escape rooms when we return to the Orlando area.

Tomb5 Wits - ArlingtonEscape roomOther I’m sure this room is great when it works, but we had broken elements in 2 out of the 3 rooms that made it impossible to complete the tasks. In one of the rooms, a person had to even come into the room and try to “fix” the issue. I had been looking forward to trying 5Wits for a while, and this was a big letdown. (I should also say that the staff was pretty nice, but there was no acknowledgment, apology, or compensation for the broken room.)
Drago's Castle5 Wits - ArlingtonEscape roomOther This room was better for us than Tomb, but there were still 2 broken elements in the final room. Luckily, we could still proceed without them. The story itself was fun, especially for a family. I just wish they wouldn’t push you along quite so quickly. We started the first task immediately, were pretty quick with it, and still got the “I’ll just unlock that for you” message.
Espionage5 Wits - ArlingtonEscape roomOther This one felt the most like an escape room of the three rooms, and we enjoyed some of the puzzles. (The luck-based one wasn’t our favorite.) It is odd that they don’t give you any sort of progress update in the final room, so you have no idea if you are getting the “good” or the “bad” ending, too. But overall a good time.
