Solid room and bonus points for being a solid room during its opening weekend. We are always a little hesitant to go to a room too soon as the kinks arent always worked out. But these guys know what they are doing and truly care about their rooms. The room had a good flow, good mix of puzzles. The clues and puzzles were hard enough to make you think, even as experienced escape enthusiasts, but not to the point of banging your head against a wall. Perfect room for a group of 3-4, but can be done with 2. Highly recommend!

The room was OK. Science/Lab themed rooms are my personal favorite and this one was a solid average room. Nothing exciting but it wasnt a bad room. The only issue i had with this room was it was not reset correctly, one lock was open and another feature was turned on already. This is a common issue with this location (especially with already opened locks). It drastically takes away from the game, and adds unnecessary confusion/over thinking on our end.

I would say this is one of the better rooms. Lots to do but it flows decently. Decor and overall presentation is great. My only real disappointment with this room was actually the amount of unnecessary hints that were given in the first 5 minutes of being in the room…. The intro video ended and we were immediately given a clue….ok we took it and before we could even get over to the puzzle they gave us another β€œclue” but it was the full instructions on how to solve it. The puzzle was not hard at all and we could have figured it out but whatever. IMMEDIATELY we were given another clue and had to tell them to stop. Obv not the room itself’s fault but it was frustrating.

We did this room as a last minute decision and we’re happy we did. The location has only been open a couple weeks and was a lovely surprise as we have exhausted most locations in the area. This room was a good middle ground of lock & key and technical. Some of the puzzles were not intuitive but they weren’t so far left field that you leave disappointed-good amount of thinking/challenge. We enjoyed our game and will be returning when the next rooms open.

We really enjoyed all of the rooms at Grape escape-and the staff & owners! This room in particular, had my favorite puzzles( who doesnt love carnival games!). They were unique and it had a great game flow with a lot of puzzles to do. Some of the puzzles were extremely easy, others were on the harder side but we still had fun with the appropriate amount of good frustration haha. Overall, great room and by far the best location in the northern bay area region.

We really enjoyed all of the rooms at Grape escape-and the staff & owners! This room in particular probably was their hardest room, however we were extremely tired and hangry when playing it so im not sure if I would have felt the same about the difficulty if that wasnt the caseπŸ˜… The puzzles were unique and it had a great game flow with a lot of puzzles to do. We ran the room with 2 people but would recommend 3 or more (as the room is advertised) unless very experienced. Overall, great room and by far the best location in the northern bay area region.

I wish Morty had a β€œmeh” option. I didnt hate the game but i wouldn’t say i liked it either. Too much reading and translating. Puzzles were very repetitive and werent anything exciting. Certain puzzles were easy to over think while others were a stretch. There are 2 different endings to the game, we chose the easy game and finished with 15 min left. The GM was cool and let us start working on the harder game until our hour was up. We will come back to finish the harder game but only because we have run out of local rooms to play and we will eventually need a fix lol. We played the vacaville version 6ish months ago and truthfully we liked it more. I believe they are updating the Vacaville one as it has since been removed from their website. Anyway, i think the theme is great but the puzzles are nothing to get excited over.

Do not waste your time or money. This was the worst escape room we have ever done. We walked out! For being a BRAND NEW room we expected better. None of the puzzles worked properly and were very frustrating. Even after listening to the game master how to work the puzzle exactly, it still didnt work. We had to be given the answers. There was not one drop of fun had and was $115 for 2 people!!!! This room was a complete after thought and horribly executed and the space is tiny! Do not bring more than 3 people because you will only get in each others way.

If you are in the Sacramento area, this location is a gem. Highly recommend to come and try this room out. We were a team of 2 and the experience was amazing. Could be great with large groups as well. Definitely challenging but in the best way possible. Not high tech, more of a lock and key experience but the puzzles were all unique. The owner is fantastic and really understands what is needed to make a room great even without all the bells and whistles. Will definitely be returning when the room is redone.

Overall we enjoyed the room. We wish the puzzles and clues were laid out in a more linear fashion. A lot of clues for other puzzles were given early on so a lot of time was wasted to decipher what to use first and what correlated with what. Not your typical lock and key type of puzzles, all puzzles were unique and it was a nice switch up just not what we were used to so it threw us for some loops. GMs were fantastic and props/clues were in great condition
