Ghastly Escapes - Ch. 1 The Bag ManMasterpiece EscapesEscape roomIRLA few days later and I am still thinking about The Bag Man. There is a live actor and a bit leveled up in that they can touch and move you around, which freaks some people out but I promise it is in a safe and somewhat predictable way. You can also choose to opt out of the touching. Keep in mind I am a big scaredy cat when it comes to horror. I get startled easily and generally avoid horror rooms. I can tell you that these folks do it in a caring way to the point where when I return I would be ok opting into being touched. The puzzles are not overly difficult but where things shine is the storyline and experience. I would recommend bringing at least a group of 4-5 to get the most out of it. Any more than that and it starts to feel less scary/strength in numbers.
The Lost ArtifactEscape MuchEscape roomIRLStephanie the owner made our experience truly great! The rooms were solid though this one was my favorite of the two. We had a group of 7 and loved that both were non-linear so there was plenty for everyone to do.

Operation MittensEscape Room HerndonEscape roomIRLThis is ER Herndon’a newest room and it takes the cat theme very seriously. All of the puzzles flowed logically - there is one in particular that is not super clear but we gave them feedback and I won’t be surprised if they change in the future. All in all another good addition to the collection - it probably ranks below 8-Bit and Cryptid Grove for me but a solid 3rd.
The House of SpiritsBrooklyn Escape Room / ClaustrophobiaEscape roomIRLStaff were very nice, but the room is very aged and needs maintenance. Some glitchy puzzles and a few instances where we were doing something right but the puzzle wouldn’t trigger because of tech problems.
