Puzzles seemed linear but that might just have been because we were confused and therefore moving one at a time. That being said, there were some cool aspects I have never seen in an escape room before. Overall good puzzles and definitely a challenge! (#3 hardest in the state)

If you’re used to super linear (lock and key, combination, pattern) puzzles then this is definitely a new experience. There were puzzles me and my team needed nudging on simply because no one would’ve thought to solve them that way. My only negative on this room would be the usage of smell and sound to create the atmosphere. After a while, both components became more of a headache and less of a creative liberty.

My team and I love Eludesions and this was one of the final ones we hadn’t done together. Linear, logic based puzzles, very lock and key. Seems simple but letting your brain take over is refreshing.
The SpeakeasyPuzzling EscapeEscape roomIRLInteresting story elements and design. The time machine was a new feature I wasn’t expecting. Puzzles were mostly linear and easy to get through. Only negative was that our game master gave a couple redundant or unnecessary hints that made play a little less fun but overall a good experience.
Prison BreakThe Escape Game - AustinEscape roomIRLThis was one of the first times we had another team work with us but it was so much fun! Teamwork is definitely the strongest part of this room, but the mostly linear puzzles made sense and didn’t require too much brainpower.
Under Pressure - CLOSEDEscapology - AustinEscape roomIRLCould not recommend this room more. Puzzles were linear and made sense but challenged your thinking at the same time. Felt very immersive and because of that, working with people you just met came easily. Great for team building, favorite room at Escapology I have done (Mansion/Budapest were the others).
Mansion MurderEscapology - AustinEscape roomIRLAtmosphere and set design was beautiful and well thought out. However, the game master we were given contributed unhelpful and unprompted “hints” often restating a puzzle we had already done or were already doing. This was the second of two rooms I had booked that day (“Under Pressure” was the first and an awesome gameplay, would definitely recommend) so this negative experience tarnished my overall review of the company. Under different circumstances I would rate this room much higher, but a passionate game master is crucial to a quality game.

On top of that, as a group of three, some of the puzzles seemed impossible to do dexterity wise. Hopefully some improvements will be made.

Gold RushThe Escape Game - AustinEscape roomIRLHaven’t yet found an Escape Game room (or any escape room for that matter) that I love quite as much as Gold Rush. Fun, beginner-friendly puzzles, set design and atmosphere like no other. Me and my team find that we keep comparing every room we do to this one, simply because it was such a positive experience. On top of that, when friends ask us what our favorite room we’ve ever done was, it’s always a resounding “Gold Rush!”
Budapest ExpressEscapology - TewksburyEscape roomIRLThe detail and design of this room drew us in at first. Though we quickly discovered that puzzles were not cohesive and flowed very awkwardly. On top of that, 3 rooms are featured with the attention to detail becoming less and less clear. 5 person team and somehow still wasn’t clicking.
Movie MayhemCodeword EscapeEscape roomIRLThe time and energy put into this room was insane! Puzzles were well thought out and very on theme. Not overwhelming in the slightest and flowed nicely with the story. Unique and challenging puzzles that you won’t get bored from. Truly positive experience.

We figured since this one was easier than Mad Hatter (our running favorite at Eludesions) that we would have no problem getting through. Some of the puzzles just didn’t make sense with the story though I’m sure updates have been made since I played this one.
Classified!The Escape Game - AustinEscape roomIRLCrazy attention to detail, linear puzzles and thinking, overall good experience. A couple technical difficulties toward the end and a couple places that needed a little TLC. Other than that, great company, always enjoy coming back!
