The Island: Genetic Testing Ground Zero
Captured LV Escape Room - Allentown

Loved the intro to this room! Pretty straight forward in the puzzling but well themed and great for families or beginners
The Devil's Den

Well executed room! Puzzles are laid out logically and are clearly labeled. Always wary of a serial killer theme but this one used props and puzzles that were well themed

Murder Of 89
Captured LV Escape Room - Allentown

We crushed this room in less than 30 minutes but had a blast doing so. It’s non linear so it rewards teams who can split up and work on their own thing. Non-traditional in that you’re solving someone’s escape room to solve their murder. Great attention to detail
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz
13th Hour Escape Room - Wharton

Great change of pace for this location. The technical and design talent on display here is truly out of sight. Features a moment that may be the most delightful thing we’ve ever experienced in a room. Deserves an award, everyone should experience once.
The Campground
13th Hour Escape Room - Wharton
Escape room
IRL
The crown jewel of 13th Hour Escapes. Rolls all of their set design expertise and puzzle design into a singular experience that will have you WORKING from start to finish. We finished by the skin of our teeth as a duo so do not let some of these inflated team recommendations put you off. Truly a joy to experience, couldn’t recommend it more highly
The Haunted Theatre
Captured LV Escape Room - Bethlehem
Escape room

Truly an excellent room. Well themed and with the trademark cluing and progression that LV escape brings to the table. There are a TON of things to accomplish in the room and the variety of puzzles on display is pretty remarkable. Couldn’t recommend more highly
Enchanted Library
Amazing Escape Room - Montgomeryville

Best game at this location! Puzzles were very well clued and logically progressed. Lots of room to work together or separately. Great for beginners as well as those looking for a well themed., solid experience
The Pirate's Chamber

This is an older style room, but an excellent example of that style. Puzzles were expertly clued and there was a very solid progression through it. Perfect for a first room or for a quick solid game for a more experienced duo. The room itself is very small so I’d find it hard to recommend for larger groups.
Western Bank Heist
Escape the Room - Rittenhouse

While not quite plumbing the depths of their other rooms, Western Bank Heist is certainly not a must-do room. The freshest of their rooms here, laminated materials were still showing their age and props and puzzles were worn and seemingly needed to be manually cleared by GM upon completion. I felt like there were some clever things going on in here, with a slightly more logical & open solve path. HOWEVER: This room features the single most obnoxious, frustrating time sink of a physical challenge I have ever experienced in nearly 100 rooms. My obvious frustration prompted our GM to helpfully chime in that “50% of teams fail this, you’re just going to have to figure it out” We figured it out; but lucky for you, you don’t have to! Spend your time doing something fun elsewhere in the city!
The Dig

Bottom of the barrel. Truly a nightmare of a room. Set design was probably rad in 2015, but time has not been kind and you are walking into a worn out, messy wreck of an experience. Mind boggling puzzle “design.” A very intense game of guess what’s in my pocket. Terrible signposting, obscure pathways between puzzles, constant bottlenecking, zero feedback upon completion of a puzzle. You name an escape design principle and I guarantee you will be disappointed by the way it’s executed here. The coup de grace is the antagonistic relationship between you and the GM. This is not a game where you are going to get hinted your way to victory. Their expectation is clearly that a large percentage of teams will simply fail; and I want to say if you experienced this room and you didn’t escape, absolve yourself. It truly was not your fault. Needs an immediate overhaul; go across the street and sit in the park for an hour instead.
