I really had high expectations but Mystery Rooms and their obsession with dark lighting is something I cannot understand. There were stone symbols not being visible because it was so dark. They label this as a "premium game" on the website because these are traditionally different from the other mystery rooms in the franchise. Less numerical locks and drawers open when you open or place something. The problem? No sound when things are unlocked. There is only a snake's hiss which is not even audible because of the bg music. This is also not a hard room as mentioned in website. It took us 20 minutes to assemble the rocks because their magnets or the strange symbols didn’t assemble lol (our fault) The anubis isn't even visible btw. Anyway, other than that, set design is cool and the bg music in room 3 is SICK, i definitely danced
Professor X's LabEscape Time BegumpetEscape roomIRL4.2/5 This was fun. Collecting glasses, the attachments from an underground tunnel, figuring out the last twist puzzle - all had that satisfying piece. Had a bonus time of 10 minutes. The glass pieces are hidden at really odd spots which took me most time because I played alone. Straightforward and simple puzzles Definitely not extreme as they label it.
Locked InEscape Time BegumpetEscape roomIRL3.5/5 It's an alright prison themed room. They let me play alone (I bribed them) where they opened both the cells for me. (because it's you communicating between the two). Fairly simple ones. It's pretty short I feel. I could do it in under 40 minutes. One of the puzzles with the laser and cards made no sense. Not logical at all. Other than that, it's a decent. Can be fun with groups
Sherlock's Last CaseEscape Time BegumpetEscape roomIRL4/5 Went alone. Found this one pretty doable/easy but this is one of the better themes in the city. A detective feel with adequet lighting and air condition. Rare. It's a 75 mins game (bonus time of 15mins from a puzzle) Had a small difficulty opening the roof inside the secret room (Wasted 10 mins here :/ ) but you can wave at the camera if you think you've got the code right and have trouble opening it and the GM should help you out. Shouldn't take more than 30 minutes if a group goes to this. Still fun for Sherlock fans! Expect to open a LOT of locks lol
Lockout 2 - The Death SentenceMystery Rooms Hyderabad- GachibowliEscape roomIRL2.8/5 I don’t know what’s with Mystery Rooms escape rooms being so dark but I wasn’t expecting this to be this…uncomfortable. I went with 1 person and I understand that we’re split into 2 cells but communicating with each other via the small gap through the jar and also using your hands to have the card tap on the reader? Not a fan. Lots of physical in this one. You are supposed to look at a mirror and open a door from the outside. We had the GM come help us for this one as my partner was short and even when I'm tall, the wire that they give you is very bad and we're sweating like balls in there. The GM himself took 10 mins to open this btw Some puzzles also didn’t make a lot of sense too for example the chess one and why another puzzle had something called “bundles” like “number of bundles”. |||| is a bundle? The typewriter was bad quality and you had to PRESS it hard. There's a small underground tunnel but it's very hard to climb up. It's hot under. Puzzles are weirdly confusing too. Like they don't make a lot of sense. There's a weight puzzle and we tried a combination to make it equal to a number but apparently that wasn't it. We couldn't figure this one out even after extra time. (Hey, my partner didn't do shit)
Lockout - A Prison Break ChallengeMystery Rooms Hyderabad - Jubilee HillsEscape roomIRL4/5 This is a good prison theme. The matchsticks puzzle will NOT make sense and you will need hint but other than that, it's fun. There are puzzles where you will need a hint. I went alone but surprisingly solved this really quick. They also had a broken pencil and I kept ringing the bell but nobody answered. They did give me time for it
The Kon of Kohinoor - A Mission ImpossibleMystery Rooms Hyderabad - Jubilee HillsEscape roomIRL3.8/5. This was easy. I went alone but they sent one of their new employees with me 😂 because it's not a single person game and i was practically begging them since i didn't have anybody. It took a bit longer because of some lasers and their deactivation. It was dark but the deactivation was very weird. Definitely the more people the better here. These are very dark rooms. We could also open a lock by accident after figuring out the first digit. It's satisfying to get the Kohinoor and some puzzles are nice.
World War BunkerEscape Time PrasadsEscape roomIRL1/5. Went alone Horrible! Escape time games usually have decent lighting but this? Nah nah what the fuck? One of the worst rooms I've been to. Loud background music. The first bunker room is so dark like what do you mean you need to see the sacks in dark and see the faintly red marks on them and count them? THEY LOOK LIKE JAPANESE SYMBOLS. To be honest, I played pathetic as I was alone (I usually do go alone and do far better) but cmon man, some puzzles did NOT make sense at all. I literally have no memory of the 2nd room onwards at all, wow. I forgot to journal it. So it was that bad. Big avoid. It's only a 30 mins game
