Scooby-Doo™ and the Spooky Castle AdventureEscapology - RaleighEscape roomIRLWe did the Scooby Doo room with Nae as Game Master and Haley as manager. The room itself was pretty good apart from some technical difficulties, though some props need some repairs. What I want to shout out is the assistance provided by Nae and Hayley when a member of our party experienced an unexpected medical event during play. They immediately paused the game, came into the room, and provided assistance. Their attitudes were calm and professional (albeit concerned) and contributed to our party’s ability to remain calm and resolve the situation. We were able to resume play and escaped, but most importantly our party is okay. 5 stars for the staff!
Tattoo Trials: Rising Ranks [prev. Hidden Needle Tattoo Parlor]The Escape Ventures - Wilmington [prev. The Exit Games]Escape roomIRLWe had a great time doing Hidden Needle! Alex, aka DragonBreath, was our GM and did an excellent job. The scenario character he portrayed did a great job of putting the usual escape room instructions (don’t damage anything, etc.) into a creative, room-specific context. Yes, it involved some back-and-forth improv before the start of the game, so if you just want to jump straight in, be aware that it will take a few minutes to get to the point where you can go in. The room itself was well done in atmosphere, props, and puzzles, including a few creative puzzles we hadn’t seen before. It wasn’t the most difficult room we’ve ever done and we escaped with 7 minutes to go. We’ve done Dog Gone Alley and we’ll be back again tomorrow for Outage, so that should indicate the quality of the rooms at Exit Games, but just in case: we highly recommend this and other Exit rooms!
Odin's TrialGame On Escapes & More - CaryEscape roomIRL3/5. Game was okay but not amazing. First one we’ve done where we couldn’t point back to one specific thing we really liked.
Dog Gone Alley - CLOSEDThe Exit Games - Front St.Escape roomIRLHad a great time at the Exit Games in Wilmington. We escaped Dog Gone Alley. Fairly standard puzzles, mostly with locks. Nothing very difficult. Would play another of their rooms. Our game master was Jacob and Isabelle was shadowing him.
