The Lair Of The PuzzlemasterTrapped! Escape Room - UplandEscape roomIRLRoom gameplay/puzzles were decent/standard. There were a couple times that clues were a little mental-leapy. Overall experience was brought down by the fact that one drawer did not open when it should have and it happened to contain necessary parts to several puzzles. It took our GM over 10 minutes to realize this issue even though I had asked over the walkie. Subsequently, the GM gave those missing clues through the door but only one at a time and only when we were on the particular puzzle. They had to slip papers under the door for each and we had to wait for each one. This took several minutes and pulled away from the atmosphere. When we went they were actively building their new room next door and the building noises were VERY loud in our room. I believe the employees/workers were being rowdy and annoying on purpose because several times we heard them pound on our door and yell “INTERPOL OPEN UP!” which aligned with our room’s story slightly but our GM walkied immediately to say to not worry about it and continue on even though they were continuing and being very loud and distracting. We have played several Trapped rooms and have had technical issues in most of their rooms which take away from their experience. I can see extreme potential in all of their work but I think they need to train staff better in conduct, room reset quality-checking, and overall sound-proofing? (Could hear several other parties in other rooms during multiple visits. This visit just happened to be review-worthy.)
