Don't Look Under The Bed [prev. Third Gate Hotel]Third Gate EscapeEscape roomIRLI really wanted to love this headed in but the experience was not what I wanted it to be. The atmosphere was great but puzzles are very linear early on which felt boring with four people. We got stuck on one due to the design of the puzzle. We knew what was needed but it wasn’t functioning properly and they let us struggle with it for a good 20 minutes which was frustrating. Once we finally got past that, it looked like it could be more fun but we didn’t have enough time to figure out if that’s true. It’s unfortunate because I was really looking forward to the trying this one!
Lab RatHatch EscapesEscape roomIRLI loved this room! The set design was fantastic. The puzzle design was novel. I saw puzzles here I’ve never seen before or since. It was really fun trying to puzzle our way through! I will say I went with two people that aren’t really into escape rooms and they had a great time but between us we could not make it out. There was just so much to do and I couldn’t always rely on them to be as helpful as I needed! If you like challenging puzzles, this is def a great one but make sure you bring a few extra friends!
Irvine School Of Wizardry And The Dragon WandHidden DonkeyEscape roomIRLMy boyfriend and I absolutely loved this one. The theming was spot on. The design of the room was great. The puzzles were really fun. We got stuck several times and had to try to think about things differently but we did need hints a couple times. The design of the last room was one of my favorite parts! I would def recommend to any HP fan.
Rugrats: Search For The Losted Toys - CLOSEDThe Escape Game - King of PrussiaEscape roomIRLWe absolutely loved doing the Rugrats room! From the moment you enter, you’re immediately hit with nostalgia. There were so many nice touches and fun surprises along the way. And what happens with the end puzzle was totally unexpected and I loved the way it finished! I would def recommend this to any Rugrats fan!
The CourtyardTHE BASEMENT: A Live Escape Room Experience - SylmarEscape roomIRLI love this whole series of The Basement from end to end and the finish was just great. The set design was fantastic and the puzzles were super fun to work through. We did get a little stuck a couple times but Partly that’s just because the room is relatively big and there were only three of us and at least one is doesn’t usually do escape rooms. Even with all that, we managed to squeak out with very little time to spare. I would def recommend doing this whole series from the beginning. It was so fun!
Pandora’s BoxTrapped! Escape Room - Las VegasEscape roomIRLI will admit that even with the TERPECA rating I was still hesitant to do a room geared towards only a few people and knowing that it was linear. I normally prefer a funnel because I don’t want to have to work on the same thing as other people all the time. And for rooms that go up to 8 I prefer 2-3 people so this has not been high on my list to try. I finally got the opportunity to check it out tonight and I was pleasantly surprised! The puzzles were challenging but not so challenging that we couldn’t get them. They were very creative in the way that they approached it and I appreciated that it could all take place mostly in one room but still keep being interesting and fun. I very much enjoyed the room and we had enough time that we got to work on most of the bonus puzzles (just missed the last one). I will def recommend this room to people!
Red Giant - CLOSEDQuest Room - HollywoodEscape roomIRLThe set design on this room was great! Most of the puzzles were pretty fun with some surprising moments thrown in as you spend time exploring and discovering. There was one particular puzzle that’s honestly just annoying to do and takes too much time but otherwise this room was pretty great and had a unique design. I would def recommend!

The atmosphere of the room was great and the puzzles were fun. There were three of us which honestly was probably too many. Two can def play at this game easily and have a great time. I’d recommend as part of the whole series but not necessarily just by itself!
Dr. Hader’s Cartoon WorldScenario Escape RoomEscape roomIRLThis room was really great! It started with a puzzle to get into the room itself which I thought was really fun. I haven’t seen that anywhere else yet! There were so many things to do in this room and I found we kept getting a little lost and off track but we were having so much fun doing it! My only show jot would be there’s a time where you really need to know the colors of something and it’s a in a room that makes it really hard to tell the colors. That tripped us up a little bit overall we had so much fun and saw many puzzles here that I’ve never seen before. I loved the unique design!
AmnesiaPuzzle Effect - PhoenixEscape roomIRLOk so the theme is a little weird because if I had amnesia and wanted to leave myself clues I probably wouldn’t make it challenging to figure out right? But setting that aside, this was an enjoyable room. My boyfriend and I did it ourselves and we were able to complete it with time to spare. Some of it felt a little challenging, which we prefer. One of the puzzles was not working that day but we didn’t know until the game was over and I asked about some signs I had seen. Overall, we enjoyed working our way through this one and would def recommend but it wouldn’t be on our “must do” list!
NeverlandOnce Upon an EscapeEscape roomIRLI really like the idea of Once Upon an Escape but their puzzle master and I are just not on the same page. I do a bunch of escape rooms and I always seem to struggle with the rooms here. The puzzles are creative but sometimes in a way where it’s just hard to figure out what to do. Neverland was no exception to this rule. We got stuck several times and had to ask for help. The help system is not super responsive and it seems like they aren’t always sure where you’re at in the game because they would suggest to do things that we already completed. We only ended up making it about halfway through this room and that’s unfortunate because the backside looked like it would be fun to mess with! If you’re looking for a solid challenge, check this one out but don’t be surprised if you end up stuck and have a hard time getting help!
Mansion MurderEscapology - Town SquareEscape roomIRLOof. This goes down as one of the worst games I’ve ever played and that’s saying something. Several of the props in the room did not fire or work as expected. We ended up getting stuck in the first room because you couldn’t even tell when the door to the second room was open so we waste valuable time not realizing we could go through. And when we called for help they told us to do things that had already been done. Eventually someone had to come in to the room to help us which totally broke the immersion factor completely. Overall this was not at all fun for my group of 3!
Bigfoot - CLOSEDNumber One Escape RoomEscape roomIRLMeh. The puzzles in this kind of felt cohesive to the story which is appreciated, but the room design both puzzle and set just wasn’t great overall. There are definitely better rooms at this location which is part of what makes this one seem meh
ShanghaiedEscapology - Maryland ParkwayEscape roomIRLMy first experience at Escapology was not good but we thought we’d give them another shot. When we arrived for our chosen game, we were told they were having issues with the room and we had to pick another. We chose again, and they started the game but then that one wasn’t working either so they moved us to Shanghaied. I wanted to like it. I really did. It just didn’t feel like it really had puzzles that went along with any real storyline. It was mostly just doing busy work of cracking codes to get confident crack as you keep working through locks. It wasn’t great and I won’t be giving escapology a third shot!
Escape IT - The SewersEscape ITEscape roomIRLEscape IT is a great immersive experience. From the moment you walk in the door, everything is themed and everyone is in character. It really helps the overall feel of the experience. The set design is fantastic. You move through several different styles of areas and each one is very well done in terms of design. The game play itself was kind of fun but also you feel kind of rushed. Because they are moving so many people through the experience you really only get so much time in each room to work on the puzzles. The upside is you get to have the entire experience whether you were able to solve the puzzles or not. I do appreciate that they made the transitions feel like they were part of the story rather than just booting you into the next room. All in all, I would recommend for people that really enjoy set designs or people who love IT!
The Asylum: PlaytimeLost GamesEscape roomIRLI really enjoy Lost Games and this is was no exception. They do a great job with their room design and with their puzzles. This one felt a little creepy at times which just added to the fun. The puzzles were a ton of fun and while we did need some hints a couple times we were able to escape with just three of us! I would definitely recommend Lost Games to other escape room enthusiasts!

I loved the way it really felt like an (albeit tiny) little marker to start with all the different areas. I was absolutely playing with the wrong people and it took us quite a bit of time to actually figure out how to move on from the first area we were in. We eventually started to find our groove and made it in to the next area which was entirely expected and completely different from the first area. I found the puzzles here to be challenging in a fun way and room design was great!
Escape Blair WitchEscape Blair WitchEscape roomIRLLike the other Egan escape Producrions, this is much more about the set design than anything. The setup is really wonderfully done and you do feel transported into the Blair Witch story. The gameplay however is not so great. You are only allowed so much time in each area so you may feel rushed along. A live actor joined our team and we basically showing us how to solve things right away so we didn’t even have the chance to puzzle out the back half of the experience. All in all, it was a creepy vibe and a fun experience if you’re looking for an immersive set but you can pass on this one if you’re looking for great puzzles.
PlaygroundThe Escape Game - Las Vegas Forum ShopsEscape roomIRLWe did the playground while it was setup as Rugrats so it’s likely somewhat different than the regular game. We absolutely loved the rugrats version and had so much fun working through all the puzzles. It was incredibly nostalgic and a great experience overall. There were definitely some surprising puzzles moments that we thoroughly enjoyed that I think would also be part of the regular Playground experience. I would definitely recommend checking this one out for a little playtime fun!
The StudyTHE BASEMENT: A Live Escape Room Experience - Las VegasEscape roomIRLI really enjoyed all of the rooms at the Basement including The Study. We did this one pre COVID where rooms could fill up with people you didn’t know and the max was definitely too many in my opinion. I think the sweet spot on this is prob 3-4 for me and my team. I appreciated the set design and there was some very creative spots that made it feel super creepy without actually being very scary. They had a puzzle in this room that I still talk about to this day as being very easy and also nearly impossible to solve for so many people. I can’t give it away, obviously, but let’s just say this room was fun!
