The Grand Wilshire Hotel
The Imaginarium: Playground for the Creative Mind
Escape room
IRL
Puzzles were pretty straightforward and linear. Lots of search and find, logical connections between props, locks and keys. The storyline and intro was great but I actually would have preferred getting LESS information before entering the room, leaving more for us to discover as we went.
Escape From The Time Travel Lab
SCRAP
Escape room
IRL
This was my first ever escape room. I have since done over 20 more, and I have not done anything like this one again. The time travel theme is completely unique and the way it works into the puzzles in the game is amazing and so thought out. The live actor adds so much to the atmosphere.
Devil's Advocate
Escape Manor - Toronto
Escape room
IRL
Spooky vibe with puzzles that fit the theme.
Station M
Secret City Adventures - Casa Loma
Escape room
IRL
The atmosphere and location were really unique being in Casa Loma. But the puzzles themselves were not too exciting. They put a ton of people together to do the room and it was more people than necessary. Some were standing around.
The Great Holiday Adventure
Looking Glass Adventures
Escape room
IRL
Christmas theme was really cute. The room had a great atmosphere and some fun effects. Some of the puzzles could be solved by kids, some may need an adult to nudge in the right direction.
The Moonshine Mile
Mysterious Minds Escape Rooms
Escape room
IRL
Room was pretty good. Nothing revolutionary but not bad either! Completed it with one adult and one pre teen.
Beau's Brewery
Escape Manor Downtown
Escape room
IRL
The room was cute, but nothing too exciting or special.
The Abduction
Dream Escape
Escape room
IRL
The room had some really cool elements to it but there were some confusing points. Even when we completed it we didn’t fully understand everything. Lots of mechanical puzzles/collecting items that didn’t require too much thinking, but puzzles that did require thinking were not extremely clear. Some really neat and unique technological elements, particularly at the beginning and end of the escape. The venue was really neat. It had a board game bar in the lobby area, where you could buy drinks and hang out before/after your escape. We were offered a discount on drinks based on how we did in the room.
Butcher's Basement
Roundabout
Escape room
IRL
Very creepy atmosphere/setting and some visuals might be scary or triggering for some. Best done with a sense of humour! Puzzles were doable and pretty straightforward.
Diamond Heist
Trapped!
Escape room
IRL
Cool concept and some unique elements to navigate, but parts were broken/not functioning properly which took away from the atmosphere and experience.
