Black and White Cafe
MindFox Escape
Escape room
IRL
This was possibly one of my favorite rooms I’ve done. The full black and white immersion was incredible, and the on-theme coffee shop music was a very nice touch. The room was very chill and fun. Easy enough for 2-3 people to do, especially if you’ve got escape room experience (This was my 19th room). It’s a non-linear 2D room. We did end up asking for some hints, but everything was pretty straightforward.

The Escape Game - Pigeon Forge

This was my first ever escape room, back in 2014. For the time I think it was really great, but definitely more of a first-gen escape room. It was a lot of fun learning how escape rooms work at an “official” Escape Game. There was only one puzzle that we struggled with, but I think that was more because we were 2 separate groups put together and all of us were new to escape rooms. Overall a nice experience and it’s what got me interested in doing more rooms!

This escape room was incredible! I loved how immersive it was. There was a lot of detail put into making us forget we were not actually at Fogmore manor, and the hour flew by! The puzzles were challenging but not unnecessarily hard & the game mechanics were super creative! (Not just locks and keys!) My group was 3 people (all experienced at escape rooms), and we got out with just a couple of minutes to spare! The atmosphere was very immersive which added to the energy of the game. Fogmore is a linear room & very straightforward. (I don’t have a preference, but I know some people do). We will definitely be returning to continue the story in the bayou & London fog! (copied from my google review) The only "downside" for some may be the extensive video beforehand, basically a short film that really got us into the story.

One Way Out - Lynchburg Escape Room
Escape room
IRL
This was my 4th escape room, and my first at this Lynchburg escape location. We had a group of 5, and maybe it was a little to easy for some parts as we had several experienced escapers. unfortunately, one puzzle was broken and required the GM to help us fix it, and another puzzle (a combination lock) was not reset before we started, so we were a little confused what to do with that number once we found it. Despite this, we had a fun time at One Way Out!

Architect Escape Rooms

Tesla was such a fun escape experience. We had a large group of 8, which may have been too many (or maybe that's a personal preference?). Only two from this group had done escape rooms before so it was fun helping new people try it out! Our GM was great about giving helpful hints to nudge us in the right direction without outright giving us answers. The puzzles in this game were a little tricky at times, but that's to be expected as it was listed as their hardest room at this location. We managed to escape with less than a minute to spare! Also, this room was so well decorated. The theming was top-notch, and there was one point where most of the group wanted to stop and take pictures inside because of how cool everything looked! (permission given beforehand by the GM to keep phones and take photos) We will definitely be going back to Architect to try out more rooms!

This Escapee room was so much fun! Our team of 9 players was honestly probably a bit too many, with people talking over each other and whatnot, but still loads of fun. I was surprised at some of the tech included considering it was 2017 and in a slightly more rural area. We still talk about this room to this day and the twist we were not expecting this room to have. We enjoyed the room’s theme and our GM was great at giving us gentle hints toward the right direction.

This game was so much fun! We had a group of 5, and the puzzles were not too challenging, but not too easy either. We loved the creepy theme without it being too scary. There were a few puzzles that had fun chain reactions.

This room did not feel quite as immersive as other rooms at this location, but was still enjoyable. We only had one experienced player, and a few unenthusiastic players. As a bonding experience, it was nice for the friends, but as far as escape games go it is not super high on my list.
