Wicked Witch60Out - Silver LakeEscape roomIRLIt was fine. I got to play it for free so I was more inclined to have a good time. I like the fantasy setting, well made props, and the story was light but cohesive. Could use more set dec. By 2026 LA standards, not a great room… but in the grand scheme of all escape rooms across space and time, I think it deserves the thumbs up rather than the thumbs down
Le Château du Supplice Éternel [The Castle of Eternal Suffering]Sauve Qui Peut - Saint-JeanEscape roomIRLWhat an incredible game! The world of this story felt near completely immersive, the puzzles were challenging and fun. There was a balanced mix between physical action, communication, logic, and creativity needed to escape. There was snakelike 1 area that was a non-intuitive puzzle to solve due to the decor not matching the rest of the (very skeletal) theming, and we got ssssstuck on that for a bit. The ending was really unique and surprising! Great lighting, sound, and practical effects throughout.
Robo-RebootRed Door Escape Room - TopangaEscape roomIRLDS story and Robo Reboot was such a fun game with some clever puzzles! I went in a little hesitant bc of other reviews, but it's definitely a solid game. There is a simple yet clear objective within the sci-fi theme. Though there are a lot of physical locks and it's only 1 room, don't let the "Gen 1"-ness scare you away!
Route 51PanIQ Room - West HollywoodEscape roomIRLI enjoyed the sci fi setting overall, and had a good time playing through with friends. However, I felt disappointed at the over reliance on AI for the production quality of this room, and the lack of a cohesive narrative to explain the existence of the puzzles within the story and the objects/set pieces within the 2nd room entirely. I didn’t mind the hint system, our GM was quick to respond, and we only needed 1 hint, but I can see why others may be frustrated.
The Curse Of The Black KnightEscapeX Rooms - IrvineEscape roomIRLWhat a fun adventure!! I’d recommend 2-3 people as the game is linear and the spaces can be tight. I felt particularly immersed in the fantasy genre, due to my own media consumption as of late lol, and I loved the way the gradual unlocking and subsequent exploration of this tiny castle continued at a steady pace throughout the entire game, and even after it ended.
Hotel On Road 6660Out - HHLAEscape roomIRLThis was a good enough game that I wanna give it a little boost in the algorithm ❤️ and be true to my experience. Of 5 rooms today, this was my favorite, not because of its puzzles, but because of our great GM Indira and the humor embedded in the gameflow leading to some hilarious and memorable moments. This set was also an unexpected underdog today with a few clever tricks that surprised me and stayed true to the horror genre.
Lethal InjectionOpen Door Escape Games - RedlandsEscape roomIRLMia was a great GM! My group was able to fit 4 rooms at Open Door in one day and we had a great time playing through them all. Sad to see Inheritance and Pillow Palace closing on their very last day, but all puzzles were well thought out and the atmospheres were immersive and welcoming!
The Ghost Of MentryvilleArcane Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThis game was so creepy and fun! Our actor was amazing, giving us helpful hints without giving too much away and staying in character. The storyline unfolded in a way that turned the linear gameplay cyclical, and the entire environment of the room was used to great effect linking the miniature versions of each room and the larger equivalent. Overall very charming, high quality props, and well written! Highly recommend for 2 people!
Da Vinci's Secret60Out - HollywoodEscape roomIRLMy team and I enjoyed the amount of puzzles, variety of puzzles, plus with 4 people we got out with about 20 mins to spare! Our GM Alex was super nice and accommodating, and also helped us out with the lobby puzzle. There are a few fun design features in Da Vinci’s secret that I enjoyed where an object is used again later in a new way. A few tech props could use a touch up or an additional instruction pre-room to not be afraid to use MORE force but still to be careful. Overall a fun room!
Case '9360Out - Silver LakeEscape roomIRLI got to playtest this room, and it was my favorite horror room that I’ve ever done! (out of 5ish). They have a unique feature that, let’s just say keeps your adrenaline up throughout the game. The progression throughout all 6 rooms/areas was really satisfying and well paced.
The Nest [Immersive Theatre]Hatch EscapesEscape roomOther I loved it when I first played it, and now I help run the experience as a GM at Hatch! So thankful I get to live vicariously through this amazing show over and over again!

Wizard's Treasure60Out - HollywoodEscape roomIRLFun time! The scenic design, particularly in the 2nd room, was very well done. It felt truly immersive in all the right ways. I also love the idea of a 100% success guarantee, I think that should be implemented into beginner games everywhere.
