Good room. Definitely scary. Slightly older. Puzzles flowed quite well together. Actors made it a truly cinematic experience.

Crawling
Physically accessible. There is a crawling section but if that wasnβt possible, it could probably be avoided.

No but they provided very helpful directions.

Great atmosphere but few and bit boring puzzels. More theatre than escaperoom in my opinion

This was a very good immersive escape room/experience with (very good) live acting involved. Scary, yes, unbearable, not at all. Good level of tension, style and atmosphere - no need to pre-panic because of previous reviews. As an escape room it is a good one with fluent puzzles and moderate level of challenge. The intention makes it more difficult than what it actually is. It is an experience, go for it!

What an awesome experience. We have completed a few horror rooms but this one tops the list. Amazing atmosphere and the puzzles were great and made the plot come to life. Well done Logic Locks, a great journey was had by all.
A fully immersive terror fest!
We were immersed from the moment we stepped in. Excellent GM.

This escape room initially gives the impression of being set in actual catacombs, especially when looking at pictures and its Google Maps location. However, a part of the game takes place in a regular church basement. This setting still provides a cool ambiance, though the first sections feature ordinary painted basement walls. The game transitions later into a more authentic catacomb-like style, with well-designed rooms and high-quality props. One unique aspect of this game is that it offers multiple endings, depending on whether you solve all the puzzles correctly and perform the right actions. Another notable feature is the inclusion of an actor, whose performance plays a significant role in the overall experience. While the game does not reach the level of horror found in some other escape rooms, it is of higher quality than typical games and provides a nice atmosphere with a storyline, that won't blow you away, but it isn't dull either. For those seeking a unique game in an unusual location, this is definitely worth trying. However, if you're looking for intense horror, you might be expecting too much from this game. Nonetheless, it is worth recommending, especially for its location and the use of live actors, albeit with the caution not to set your horror expectations too high.

I undersold how scary this room would be to my friend because I needed people to do it with me. Heβs not mad at me anymore because of how good this room is. If you can withstand the horror, itβs amazing

Fantastic and doable even if you are scared easily. Would consider doing this again just for the experience

Patchelly and Dalia were great! I had a terrific time. ^_^ What an incredible start to our NL escape room trip. This is one of my favorite rooms in NL due to having a preference for rooms with actors and having such a fun time.

Catacombs is the escape room medium as cinema. It has all the trappings of the format, but the theatrics are upscaled, the environment is real, and the horror isnβt just cheap gore and jumpscares. The puzzles are fun, albeit a bit too nonlinear at points, but that isnβt the reason why you should play this game. Play it because you want to live a real life version of The Conjuring or The Exorcist, done with the utmost attention to detail.
Gameplay was generally smooth and thematic, although the ending was a bit too chaotic for my taste
Not many games can boast being in a real church βcatacombsβ, but not only is the set authentic, the set is embellished brilliantly.

Authenticity and immersive theater elements made this one stand out
Genuinely engaging storyline, with a clear connecting between puzzles and plot beats
Hard
The puzzles themselves are easier, but the environment, actor, and chaos make it a bit more challenging and off-putting
Mechanical
Itβs an even mix but the tech is pretty basic aside from a few more involved moments

3 - 5 is a good number
Scary
You will be terrorized throughout, and one player will be put in a very unique predicament.

Itβs pretty mature thematically, but itβs nothing worse than a typical horror movie
Yes
Very minor, but a key didnβt work as smoothly as it should have to the point of being frustrating.
Yes
Very actor-drive experience.

Lots of crawling, and one player must be in a tight space for an extended period
