Japanese thriller room is in the infamous Japanese serial killer’s apartment. This is a place where victims fell prey and are haunting the apartment, escape safe.

Fun room for larger groups. Some of the puzzles have seen better days. Lots of space with multiple rooms open at once (hence why it’s better for larger groups). Our gamemaster really made it fun for us, with a unique twist. Mechanical locks/codes, but on theme with where you’re at (a normal apartment). I would definitely recommend for larger groups.

Did this one a really long time ago, and thus don't remember it well to comment on specifics—BUT, want to say it was so atmospheric/cool theme-wise that I still remember it years later. Great room :)

There were some fun spooky elements to this room but nothing too crazy. It’s definitely better with a larger group as you have access to multiple rooms at once, with individual puzzles.

Our group size was a bit too big for this but honestly it was the first time for most of us so it worked out well.

I wanted to like this escape room but was sadly disappointed. Having done a horror escape room before. I was more scared from the intro video then the actual room. Customer service: My friends and I were there on a bachelor party trip. We had 2 additional players added to our group to our surprise thinking we had booked a private room. There was no prior notice that we would have strangers join our group or that they would take multiple parties for the game. Additionally, prior to the game starting they swapped out our original game master for another. This new game master ran into our room during the middle of the game to turn on some lights. That was an unpleasant experience, as it ruined the mood of the game. It showed how the room was not reset properly. Gameplay: Our game master had reiterated multiple times that the puzzles in the room was not linear. This pretty much made solving the puzzles easier with this understanding. There was also a point system introduced which made the game a little bit more interesting, but I was not a fan of it. The puzzles, however, were only moderately challenging. We escaped the room in a little under half an hour and were disappointed at how fast the experience went. Overall, I did not enjoy this room at all and would not recommend it even with the Groupon.

I’ve played this game two times. It has a special place in my heart as the first escape room I ever played in 2015. I returned a few years later to see how it compared once I had more experience. I was more of an observer the second time and I must say - this game just isn’t that good in my opinion. The second time around, they had dulled the story and the spookiness down. On both runs of the game, there just aren’t that many puzzles. It’s a cool space with an interesting story, but puzzles don’t hold up. They also were public games both times I played, and I’m not into forced public games especially if they shove too many people in a room with five puzzles.

This stands out in my memory as one of the scarier/creepier games I’ve played.

The room was eerie and creepy, especially if Asian horror films scare you, but there are no live actors or jump scares.

Absolutely terrifying if you don’t like movies like the grudge and the ring!
