The Assistant 2.0

The set design and story could have been a little more immersive but the puzzles were great. The theming felt very sparse without as much use of the physical space as I would have hoped. Overall the experience was made much better by a fantastic gamemaster who actively kept an eye out for my team and helped us move along if we got stuck. We did this room as a group of two people and were running out of time by the end, so some proactive hints were much appreciated! This room had a mix of puzzle difficulty with one especially hard puzzle. Based on how time consuming that puzzle was, I would recommend a larger group for this room so the tasks can be divided and achieved faster. Even though we found the puzzles complex, they were all well clued and paced within the room, which made for a satisfying solving experience!

This one is not as well designed as Observatory. I cut my finger on one of the props and one of the buttons for a puzzle didn't work at all. The room doesn't seem like it's designed by the same team, because it's a little less cohesive, though it's more beginner friendly as well. Average room with some unique puzzles.

Did this one because it was recommended by Reality Escape Pod. It was my birthday trip, and I brought four of my puzzle-loving friends (though none of us had done more than a couple escape rooms), and we had never done an escape room together before. Holy wow, we all an absolute blast!! The puzzles were all well-designed and executed - some of the prop design was absolutely brilliant, and everything felt fair, well-paced and super fun. The only hiccup happened because I didn’t tell the venue it was my birthday, so I missed out on a couple of special twists, and one of the puzzle solves was affected by that miscommunication. But it was quickly resolved, and we didn’t lose much time over it. I’ll definitely be bringing my crew back to tackle the Observatory. Highly recommended!

Fun classic room! Challenging puzzles and unique experience.

VERY well thought out and executed, and a very kind birthday surprise! In a group of two semi-experienced players, we needed 3ish hints and extra time… but we were so glad to have been given the opportunity to experience the room in its entirety (likely because we came the 15 minutes early). We WILL be coming back!!! I think our room operator was named Anthony- very very nice guy and gave guiding but not obvious hints. My mom’s review: Two thumbs up and five stars!!

Loved this room! Challenging but not frustrating- all puzzles worked perfectly (my biggest frustration with escape rooms). Great props and surprises. Completed this with one other person, solved!

This was a BLAST!!! The puzzles are not all linear (within reason). I wouldnt do this room with more than 3 people but I'm also a puzzle fanatic so if you're newish or you take a while I'd suggest 4-6.

My favorite room at gate escape. I liked having to reuse stuff, I felt like there was always something to work on even if one thing was stuck, the collaboration with one other person flowed very well, nice that the room didn’t rely on super high tech stuff to work
