Edgar Allan Poe has met an untimely death. As fellow scholars you’ve been called upon by Elmira Shelton, a companion of Poe’s, to find any clues that could give an idea as to what led to his death. She, like many others, feels as though there is something bigger afoot. There’s been whispers and gossip of what could’ve happened that fateful day; it’s up to you to search what was once known as his chambers to lay to rest the stories circulating. You only have so much time before authorities come to clean out the place. Can you navigate around Poe’s secrets while finding out the truth?

This was a charming room. The decor was very thematic. A couple great puzzles and ciphers. One was broken unfortunately but the GM was really great and super friendly.

Had some classic puzzle elements which was fun. It had some interesting things to figure out. Enjoyed it.

Loved the atmosphere. It was very thematic and had some really cool elements. Unfortunately it looks like it’s been through the wringer. Probably quite a few rough teams went through it. But still a very well-designed room.

GM was great! So friendly and helpful especially when a puzzle didn’t work.

Recommend this room. Great theming and some really rewarding puzzles. A couple were pretty challenging and we needed hints. Plenty to do for 4 people. Would love to go back and try some of their other rooms. Beautiful space and creative gameplay.

Most of the staff were very nice. There was one girl who was a little rude, but we really didn't have to see her much. We've been here a few times and she seemed new. She may have just been overwhelmed so we tried not to be offended by her lack of helpfulness.

Overall the game was expensive for what it was but the company was pretty good overall not sure if we would be back since this was their hardest room and if not for one clue we would have gotten out in less than 30 minutes

Escape room live in alexandria has the same kind of edgar allen poe theme and is done a little better in my opinion and is significantly cheaper

Set the record in like 2021 and I think we still hold it! This was a nice looking set, pretty on theme. Puzzles flowed well and were simple enough for us at least

This game was awesome! Our favorite one at this location. Incredible environment, story, and gameplay. We feared the Morse code puzzle but it was great. I guess we think similarly to the designers. Highly recommend - you won’t be disappointed.

Very straightforward escape room experience from start to finish. Good for more experienced groups!

It was ‘novel.’ Pardon my pun. It was a very straightforward experience from puzzle to puzzle. There was only one piece that tripped us up. Mostly because it was a solution I have never seen in an escape room.

As a fan of Poe and the macabre, I loved this room! The vibe and atmosphere was perfect and loved all the puzzles and the ties to his stories.

We really weren’t big fans of this room. It was darker than it needed to be which always is difficult but there was also a Morse code part that was very poorly executed. I mean, we have done a decent amount of Morse code but the sounds were difficult to follow & didn’t correspond properly. The set design and ambiance were quite good and there were some unique elements, but honestly, that Morse code puzzle sort of ruined the whole experience for us.
