The Abandoned Carnival

3 rooms. Had actual carnival games. Shooting the duck and pulling the sacks based on weights. Had a vending machine which dispensed a key to get the balls for shooting game. Need red to find 4 wooden tickets. Powering up the bumper car to put the final ticket to unlock door into mirror maze was cool. Had to find symbols in the maze to make a word to unlock 3rd room. The put the balls into tubes that then spelled numbers. We accidentally did it upside down so the numbers were not displayed correctly, kind of annoying and time consuming. But everything before that was cool.

Very fun! Completed the room with 4 people in about 46 mins. The carnival theme was great and the decor/puzzles were very fitting. I really enjoyed this one!

We heard this was Padlock’d’s best room and it sure didn’t disappoint! They really made fantastic use of the space by repurposing an old carnival site into a big escape experience that had some really cool props. While it looked and felt a little dated, that actually played into the “abandoned” carnival theme rather well, though it’s definitely not scary or creepy. While Padlock'd may have gotten a little lazy and generic with their newer offerings, this one remains original and unique.

This room had great props and atmosphere, partly because it was once an actual carnival and Padlock’d repurposed it. The puzzles required teamwork, and had a great variety and fit to the theme.

Not sure what the hype was for this room. We did it based on reviews and high rating - but I don’t get the appeal, Yep it was different and had good puzzles, but overall I thought it was just ok - we had some technical issues with one of the props and that ate a bit of time. Definitely been in much better rooms. Overall a good fun room but not great.

Very immersive carnival atmosphere. Challenging room due to the larger space and requires good team communication but not impossible for two players. The two of us completed under half the time.

This was the final room of a 6 room marathon my partner and I completed, and it was still a blast! There is a standout mechanic that I have truly never seen in a room before and it was so much fun. We were given special permission to complete the room as a team of two, and having our phones with us was crucial. The space is massive and there is a puzzle that requires communication over a large amount of the room. The puzzles were all approachable and linear, not a huge amount of challenge for an experienced team, but also a great room to try if you are new to escapes. Riley was an energetic and friendly GM at the end of the night. We can’t wait to come back and finish the padlocked rooms!

The biggest room on the premise and it shows! Plenty of space for everyone to work on puzzles without getting in each other's way. Some clever puzzles though the ball shooter was a bit frustrating to use. Although this room is marketed as spooky, to be honest it didn't register as scary-themed at all, even to my sensitive self. A fun experience overall!
