Amazing, really different experience to do an escape room in pitch black and having to fully rely on sound and feel

You are a group of patients at a psychiatric hospital. One of the doctors was convinced your mental illness was a sign that a demon had taken over your body and must separate your mind from your body. The experiment has already been performed on you but luckily something went wrong and you were able to reconnect with your body. All that is left is to escape but unfortunately the experiment didnβt quite work and you have no vision. With just your remaining senses to guide you, you must escape the hospital before the doctor realises.

Loved how different this room makes you go through the experience. Being in pitch black darkness makes you rely on your senses in a way that needs focus and attention for detail. A very fun setting and super different to any escape room experience so definitely a must-do!

I felt relaxed in this puzzle room. I found peace in going through it, communicating differently due to the lack of eyesight, and using touch to navigate. The Quest Master was great with introducing the room to us and making sure we played safely.

βDarknessβ was the first escape game we completed without vision. It was atmospheric, creepy and unique β an experience that truly sat with me for some time after completing the game. The puzzles were thoughtfully designed and sparsely situated throughout the rooms to clearly signpost which puzzle props belonged together. Those props in the experience were carefully designed to be easily distinguishable when compared to one another. We enjoyed βDarknessβ, and we look forward to our next room at Quest Room!
Gameplay
Puzzles were sparsely scattered β which in a sight-deprived context works well. It was easy to figure out what went together, and what belonged to another puzzle in the same space.
Atmosphere
The audio experience was eerie, and the tactile elements were distinctly tactile and unique when compared to one another.

Lex and the team are always a delight.

The darkness element was so unique and enjoyable, particularly after playing nearly 100 rooms.

Easy/medium depending on the team β I can see how it would be very difficult for teams if their strengths arenβt in spatial visual manipulation. The difficulty of a room is hard to determine at the best of times β my partner found this room very tricky, I felt it was quite easy. Go for a unique, well craft escape room experience unlike (almost) any other.

We kept postponing to try this room as we didnβt really like the idea of darkness. Only when we ran out of rooms to try, we booked this one. My husband and our dear friend were loving this one. They said itβs somehow very calming to think in the dark and we finished it under 20 mins πππππ

I enjoyed this room mainly because it was a change of pace from the βnormalβ escape room. However, I wouldnβt recommend it to anyone new to escape rooms mainly due to the lack of puzzles.
