The Mad Rapper

This was not my favorite escape room theme, but I will say it was definitely challenging for the two of us and incorporated somewhat unique puzzles. There was one puzzle near the end that was somewhat confusing because there were two separate clues for the same puzzle, which really tripped us up. It was also difficult to read in the room because it was a bit dark. The storyline also was a bit lackluster and did not connect well. However, the room was a nice challenge and made us think.

Our group of two struggled, especially with over-thinking several aspects. There is a LOT to do and I think a "divide and conquer" approach is best. Very much loved the sets, the larger interactive elements, the music and the art on the walls. Heavier theme, but incredibly unique, too.

I really enjoyed this room! Some escape rooms have puzzles that don’t coincide with the theme but that wasn’t the case here. Every puzzle intertwined with the theme of the room, and some of them you really had to listen, which was very unique! For those puzzles I wasn’t exactly listening so luckily someone from my group was paying attention LOL Overall, I recommend!

This room starts strong then devolves into progressively lower quality puzzles, production value and a final puzzle with a deeply unthoughtful theme rooted in racially motivated murder. So many things about this room thematically made no sense. On top of all that, the puzzles were easy.

Mad Rapper’s reputation preceded it - the room has a good variety of dexterity puzzles, word puzzles and visual puzzles, half mechanical, half technical. It’s got a great flow and cool progression: starting in the studio and a successful ending landing yourself a spot in the crew. With a story special to itself and big puzzles and set pieces, Mad Rapper has its reputation for a reason. (The ending was wild too and I’m glad I didn’t have it spoiled)

Super fun room. Loved how different it was from the other escape rooms. If you like music this is a person room for you. Thank you Andy for being a phenomenal game master! And thank you for the recs!

Game play was great! The puzzles were a good mix of logic, observation, riddles, and physical games. Very fun, but felt a bit disappointed with how many players my group had. Recommend 3-4 players to cover everything. Any more could be pushing it if the players are experienced with escape rooms

Sooo much fun! Rich storyline, intuitive gameplay, such an original premise and puzzles. A must do.
