Fun twist on the typical escape room take! Good to see it live on at Deceptive Games

This was my first ever escape room, and it was such a great experience! The pirate theme is very strong, and our group had a ton of fun competing against one another. Definitely check it out for a swashbuckling good time!
Lots of locks and puzzles, has a linear and a non-linear portion.
The atmosphere, props, and environment are amazing and very piratical!
Staff was super welcoming and did a great job setting the atmosphere and explaining the game.

My group was bouncing between puzzles quite frequently, but running is not required, and none of the puzzles require much exertion.

If you love puzzles and no storyline, this is the game for you. It was a competition rather than an escape room. We enjoyed it. I can see how it wouldn’t be for everyone, but I’m down for a pirate themed game any time. I would have liked to see two separate rooms with duplicate puzzles instead of one room where we are all battling for puzzles, but overall it was a good time.

Soooooo many puzzles!! You solve puzzles for ammo. You use ammo for the “battleship” game. It’s such a fun and unique idea! I loved it!

The game wasn’t fully reset when we started, so some things were already unlocked that shouldn’t have been. Game was split into 2 teams at a certain point, which is fine, except that when one team would work on a puzzle and couldn’t solve it, and another team worked on the same puzzle later, sometimes the host would offer an unrequested hint to the second team which gave them an unfair advantage. On top of that, a player on one team could be working on a puzzle that required them to leave the lock location to find some information, and another team could swoop in and steal the spot and solve the puzzle faster after hearing a hint that was offered to the other person. Also, the speaker for hints was both hard to hear because the volume was too low against the music, and the speaker muffled his voice a bit so it wasn’t clear. It did have a different style of play to most rooms, but that also changed the game so it wasn’t as much of an escape room as it was a high tech version of a board game I could play at home.

There’s not enough room for more than 4, even 4 was hard to get around sometimes. You need an even amount, and 2 isn’t enough to finish.

one of my wives favorite experiences. a different vibe from other rooms in the area but it has been on our mind ever since we played! a lot of attention has gone into this experience and even starting with the intro video, we were not disappointed!

This room was very unique in the fact there’s so many mini games that are challenging. We didn’t finish so we need to go back to finish and we normally finish games.

Great room!! The point of this room is not to escape but to solve as many puzzles as you can to play a game!! I can’t say anymore!! You really have to think on this but it was great fun!!!!

This one will be missed. It was such and incredible concept and different from any room I’d ever done. Looking forward to great things from this group in the future!

Just like the real thing! Definitely split your teams with even amount of brain power for it to be fun. Tons of puzzles and I loved that we were still in the room with our group, even though we were on teams!
