Queen Anne's Revenge

This is a puzzler’s paradise! If you love puzzles, then you will love this escape room because there are many different types of puzzles to solve. They are all well built, and the gameplay is non-linear, meaning everyone is kept busy. (There is lots to do.) The puzzles fit the theme well, that of a pirate ship. I found myself really enjoying this game, even though I am not a puzzle-centric escape room kinda’ guy. I can visually see the love, planning and care the owners have put into this game (and the husband is very nice!). The set is well-built, too - perfect for this game. I should note that I do not recall any audio playing during the game. Perhaps, I’m wrong. Is this game immersive? I don’t view it as an immersive adventure. But keep in mind that my idea of escape game immersion has gotten granular the older I get. But even so, this is a very worthy game to play and should be on your list of escape rooms to tackle while here!

great room that i would recommend to anyone. set design was cool and felt like a real pirate ship. all of the puzzles made logical sense and were well themed to fit the room. many cool surprises in the room. one of the only rooms that i wouldn’t change anything about any of the puzzles

An incredible escape room! There was such a mixture of types of puzzles, so every type of smarts shined here. As well as quite a few things to do at any given time so none of our group was ever just standing around. But mostly, I’m in awe with how logical & enjoyable this all was. There was a never a solution I thought “yeah, I guess(?)” about, everything made sense in such an exciting way. 10/10!!

Pirate ship themed room and very well done. This was our first experience at Epic Escapes. The room had plenty of challenges and a very good variety of challenges which we appreciated. Plenty to keep our group of 5 engaged. It’s a very thoughtful room and you won’t be disappointed.

One of the best rooms we have done! And the owner was super friendly. Highly recommend this spot.

Overall, this room was amazing. The aesthetic was great, the puzzles were difficult but not too difficult, and the story was easy to follow. This room didn’t have very many tricks where you had to look twice at something. It was all there when you found it.

Amazing set, immersive theme, and really fun puzzles. We had fun with unique puzzles we had never seen before in escape rooms, and we also enjoyed some familiar types of puzzles too. Good variety of puzzles, fun decorations in the building, and the owners were a lot of fun to chat with. You can tell they put a lot of heart and creativity into the design and puzzles. We had a blast!

Wow we did Queen Anne's Revenge such fun room with a lot of technology. I did 70 rooms and this on feels unique. Medium level we escape with 3 people left 1min 34 sec. Recommended 4 people. Super nice and friendly people it’s family business. We have so much fun.

I did this with another group that was nice enough to let me play. We had a bit of a tough time getting started, but once we did, it was a lot of fun and challenging.

Rating: 4/5 - Great room for a mom and pop type place, you can tell the creators are enthusiasts Pros: ➕Strong theming, enjoyed all the pirate stuff and everything felt like it belonged in a ship ➕Good variety of puzzles for different preferences ➕Very few padlocks, the ones they used felt appropriate to the theme ➕Nice amount of tech ➕At least a couple of cool reveals/hidden items ➕Non-linear game-play means you can split up and not get bottle-necked ➕Friendly and helpful owners Could be better: ➖One mechanism was malfunctioning and required the game master to enter the room to reset it ➖The immersion factor didn't quite do it for me. I appreciate the effort and theming but there have been small town places elsewhere that impressed me more with their sets. What would take this room to the next level is if they stepped up the set design. Everything was covered by what looked like wood but it felt too new and clean (not weathered) for a pirate ship. All the objects just kinda felt randomly placed and it didn't feel quite like we were in a ship since there wasn't much done to hide that we were just in a regular rectangular room. Some more dramatic lighting would also add to the immersion. We enjoyed it playing it as a couple, we got out with a couple min left but did have to use a few clues. I think at 1-2 people would've been more helpful due to the non-linear nature. UPDATE: My ranking of the rooms I've played here starting with my favorite: 1. Queen Anne's Revenge 2. Legion 3.
