Was surprised at the size of the room, but was still as scary and thrilling ad expected! Thank you to Sophoa and Emma for scaring us and giving us the beat experience ever!

Note: This is an EXTREME experience. Please see Additional Details before booking. The catacombs of Paris are a popular tourist destination. The bony fragments of several hundred-year-old remains attract curious visitors from all around the globe. But lesser known to the public is what exists beyond the catacombs. A place so deep below the Earth’s surface, it has its own ecosystem – independent of the outside world. No one would expect so much life would exist in a place with so much death. And this is where things get messy. It is rumored that an ancient cannibalistic tribe lives beyond the catacombs. According to legend, These people feast on the flesh of unsuspecting tourists and curious teenagers. They perform black magic rituals and worship a figure resembling a jackalope. All of this is simply rumors. Nobody has ever seen these people…. Or at least lived to tell the tale. Meet Arthur, an Anthropologist from Jacksonville, FL, USA. Arthur became obsessed with the cannibalistic tribe of the catacombs. He flew to Paris determined to prove their existence. But that was several days ago. I’m afraid no one has heard from Arthur since. You are here because you are the best in your field. If there’s any chance Arthur is still alive, you are his only hope. I’ve arranged for a guide to take you down to the Catacombs, I don’t know how deep they’re willing to travel, but they can at least give you a head start. Your mission is to find Arthur and bring him home safely. Good luck on your voyage. You’re going to need it.

Loved every part of this game!!!!! So memorable how it flowed and the puzzles ranged from simple task based to extremely layered but understandable, and the inclusion of the cannibal NPC was necessary for progression, which was an amazing addition in hindsight :)))))

Puzzles flowed super well! Super on theme too for catacombs, lovedddd the puzzles especially starting in the second area and the nonlinear nature of how you can progress
Impressive as hell!!!! Every area made sense as to why it existed in the space and the props and set pieces were amazing
Sofia and Emma were so nice!!! Sofia ran our game and Emma was our cannibal and both were perfect :) hints were prompt of course
Yes
Harder puzzles but completely solvable! Now on extreme mode I don’t think we would’ve gotten anywhere tbh
High tech
A really awesome use of technology in this experience
3, maybe 4 but no more. It’s doable with 2 but the original design of the game is awesome if you can manage finding 3 people!!!
💩👖
Intensity level is extreme regardless of the mode you play, for us, regular mode delivered not too much but DEFINITELY not too little either it hit such a sweet spot for the type of scare it’s aiming for. Don’t let the intensity level scare you off! We anticipated not being able to progress at all with just us 2 but the scares are tasteful and timed during the regular mode. I cannot speak for the extreme version but it was never too much cannibal interference.

Richard, thanks for coming down and playing all three games. I want to push back on a few things, respectfully. On the horror itself, you're right that this isn't European actor-driven horror, and it was never going to be. Waivers in the US run multiple pages for a reason, and this game already pushes pretty close to the line of what we can legally do here. That's a real constraint, not an excuse, and it shapes what American horror rooms can be. On the setting, the room is inspired by Hang Son Doong in Vietnam, a cave system with collapsed ceiling sections that let sunlight in and allow jungle, wildlife, and even an underground river to exist inside it. That's where the grass comes from. Cannibals living in catacombs requires more imagination than the foliage does. On the actor, the mask is a custom silicone piece from Immortal Masks in Hollywood, the studio that builds for major film productions. It's not a wig, and I'd encourage anyone curious to look closely next time. On fog and atmospheric effects, our smoke detectors are county mandated optical units that trigger on any particulate, which rules out fog machines in most of our rooms. After the Koszalin fire in Poland, the city has been unwilling to revisit that. It's a real limitation we work around. On the build, Cannibals took over a year and a much larger budget than the other two rooms. I'm glad Locker Room and Dog Days landed for you. Cannibals is a different kind of game with different goals, and it won't be every player's favorite. That's fair. Appreciate the detailed feedback, even the parts I disagree with.

Fun room flowed well with good variety of puzzles. Owner was awesome and fun to chat with. Live Actor in the room played along great.

Honestly I think this room is over hyped. The first part is extremely frustrating with puzzles that don’t make a whole lot of sense. I really enjoyed interacting with the owner outside of the room- that was probably the best part. Otherwise this was just kind of an eh experience. Not necessarily bad but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

Hey Kellie! Thanks for the kind words! I do think it's important context to mention that you played this game nearly a year ago, and the game has changed dramatically since then. The first room puzzles are drastically different than when you played. Sometimes the disadvantage of building rooms by myself is I build puzzles that make perfect sense to me, but not necessarily to everyone else lol I'm doing the best I can, and I hope to see you when future games open up!

I enjoyed this room. Part of that may be because it was my first more intense horror room, because my more experienced teammates said that it wasn’t that scary and that they enjoyed it less. You can buy “teddy bear insurance” for an extra 10 bucks if you don’t want to get shocked. My teammates who chose to get shocked (with a taser) said that they barely felt anything. I think a lot of the scare factor of this game is the build up of what you’re told may happen to you before the game. In all honesty, it’s not too bad. There were a few unique puzzles I really enjoyed. The scare actor played his part well and I personally thought did a good job making the experience more intense. Part of the set is a little out of place (there’s grass in the catacombs?). The room was also smaller than I anticipated.

I love puzzles that have layers with all hands on deck to solve. Obviously I bought the teddy insurance so I didn’t get tased but it can be jumpy.

10/10! My brother and I have done quite a few escape rooms so we have pretty high expectations at this point and this blew all of our expectations out of the water! Heed all of the warnings in the waiver, we thought surely it won’t be THAT scary but it was! They recommend teams of 3 or more and we were only the second team of 2 to have done it. We were busting our butts busy the whole time but still made it out with a couple mins to spare. Perfect game play. Amazing live actors. Game master was very fun. 10/10 recommend but only if you like to be scared!

This game was unlike any other room we’ve done before. On that note, don’t let the warnings scare you away too much. Obviously, don’t bring children, there are adult themes and you do get electrically shocked. The theme was original and we found many puzzles to be satisfying solves. They had recently renovated one of the puzzles for clarity, and we played through it smoothly. We were the FIRST group of two players to attempt this room and while there was a lot to do, it wasn’t overwhelming.

Hey Bri! Thank you so much for the detailed review! I really appreciate you taking the time to share so much helpful information—it will definitely help future enthusiasts who might be on the fence about trying the room. Regarding your comments about the plot twist, you actually do find Arthur in the game, but I realize I didn't make it obvious enough since you're not the first person to mention this. I'm pleased to let you know that I've already made changes to the game to make that discovery much clearer for future players. Thanks again for coming out and playing, and hopefully for giving other players the courage to take on the challenge. Your feedback is invaluable in helping me continue to improve the experience!
