The best escape room in the state of Oregon. Seriously a fantastic, grounded story with great puzzle mix, fun interactions and refreshing reveals! The environment and props make this room. Everything feels so authentic and it makes for such a clean experience. Book this right after Lombinoβs for a cohesive, continuous story and a great double header of puzzling. Patrick was so welcoming and made our group memberβs 100th room a memorable experience. The lobby was also the best Iβve ever been in, hands down. Go, book this now. I promise you wonβt be disappointed. πΈπ°ββοΈ

Operation Gryaznayavoda or OG is a memorable eclectic room in Portland. The storyline is unique, our game master is hilarious, and the puzzles feel rewarding to solve. There are only 2 rooms in this location so if you have to choose one, choose this one! Highly recommend getting a group of 3-4 for this room. We did it with a group of 3 and it took all of us. Parking is limited so get there early. The location may be tricky to find too but itβs all part of the experience.

Patrick was such a great host. We ran this room with 3 people, but could be feasible with 2. Immersive from beginning to end. The storefront and introduction to this room was an absolute blast. I was surprised to find that this room landed in my top 10 just because of the performance. This was a great adventure filled with puzzles and story.

A great room! There was a lot to work on simultaneously, so it was excellent for a large group. Despite the number of things to do it was always clear where to focus. Great diversity of puzzles, some fun mechanics, and a nice crescendo with the final puzzle. A little bit on the tougher side, which was perfect for our group. Overall, highly recommended.

What a fantastically wonderful and daffy experience from start to finish. So many games have generic themes, Operation Gryaznayavoda has such an original story brought to life so effectively. Great puzzles, love how it highlights Portland (a big plus for a visitor to the city, like me) - amazing set. YOU MUST PLAY THIS GAME!

This has to be one of the most clever and well carried out escape room experiences I've ever had. Everything from finding the place to starting the game was awesome and utterly unique. Easily one of my all time favorites! While our team of 6 (3 experienced and 3 newbies) didn't solve the room in time, the GM still allowed us to finish the room so we could experience the story and everything. The puzzles themselves are well designed and laid out across multiple rooms in a fairly non-linear fashion but are obvious enough to make you connect the dots. Some of the puzzles are fairly thought intensive so I wouldn't recommend it for those who don't like to think or have a language barrier, but the GM is really awesome at giving you hints when they see you're struggling with something or possibly misinterpreting a clue. Definitely recommend anyone visiting Portland to give this escape room a shot and do so with a group of at least 4 experienced players who communicate well as there are several points where working together is involved.
Not only was this escape room a complete and utter blast, it flowed fairly well and only had a moment or two where we had to pause as a group due to the sheer complexity of a couple of puzzles. Throughout nearly all of it there was enough to keep all 6 of us busy, especially when working in pairs.
The GM kept in character throughout the entire experience and made it a point to keep the atmosphere humorous from start to finish to ensure everyone had a good time.
I can't say enough about our GM, Pat, and the staff in general. Despite being short staffed due to an employee calling out sick, they still accommodated us and made sure everything went smoothly throughout our session. Even not making it out quite on time was met with well placed humor, taking away the usual defeated feeling of failing and turning it into a running joke our team continued to mention throughout the rest of our day.
Yes
I can't say much without spoiling some of the best parts, but I've never had an escape room that got me into the game before I even expected it to start. Without a doubt one of my most memorable experiences!
The story itself was interesting and well integrated albeit a bit boring and dated, but this is partially on purpose. Not one of the most interesting or riveting stories, but by far not one of the worst.
Hard
While there are several easy puzzles in this experience, there are a couple that take a good amount of thinking along with teamwork and coordination. I wouldn't recommend this as anyone's first escape room and would say an experienced group would have a good time with how balanced it is between easy and hard puzzles.
Mechanical
It had several different types of mechanisms and locks throughout the experience but most were mechanical in nature.
6
I would say between 6 to 8 players would be perfect with at least 4 experienced players in the group to tackle the more teamwork oriented and complex puzzles.
Not scary
12
While our 10 year old did catch several of the clues and solved a few of the puzzles, I would say children under 12 might have issues with puzzles later on in the experience.

You do have to move quite a bit between rooms but they are in close proximity and don't require stairs, lifting, or moving heavy items.

When you've passed where it's supposed to be and still can't find it after a minute or two, just call the place. Trust me. There's a reason for this.
Easy
There is no parking lot for this business, but there is plenty of both free and metered street parking all around within a few seconds of it.
