I'm super bummed about this one. Given its stellar reputation, I had high hopes for this escape room, but unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations. While the initial impression was promising with excellent theming and atmospheric design, several operational issues significantly impacted our enjoyment. The most notable concerns stemmed from our GM's approach - they seemed disengaged and offered unprompted and unhelpful solutions. We got hints for puzzles that were already solved, codes for things that were already correct. In one case, we had a proper code for the puzzle and the GM said βThe code is abcdβ, we were like βwe have that?β, then the puzzle was magically solved. We had spent time trying to figure out what to do next when we had in fact, already solved the puzzle. The fact that we were the last booking of the night became painfully apparent as we were hurried out immediately after completion, leaving no time to discuss the experience. The room itself showcases genuine potential with its thoughtful design elements and immersive environment. However, the rushed service, and premature hint system created a disconnect between the room's capabilities and our actual experience. For future visitors, I'd recommend booking an earlier time slot to potentially avoid these end-of-day service variations. While I can see why this room has garnered positive reviews, our particular session fell short.

I think this could be one of the best games in Portland if ran properly. Unfortunately that wasnβt the experience we had. We had a lot of hints given to us without requesting them, which I am generally fine with, but many of them confused us more or straight up gave us an answer instead of being a hint. I think I would have enjoyed this room more if we had failed and had to come back again to escape.

I did not like how our GM gave us an unprompted hint that was unnecessary and caused us to waste timeβ¦
Gameplay was very smooth and flowed easily. However, can seem a bit choppy. Everyone was able to work on the same puzzles and get out on time. Did not have to split up.
Props definitely matched the theme, but not very exciting.
GMs were very friendly. I specifically asked for no unprompted hints before the game started. After 45 minutes, they gave us a hint when I didnβt ask for one. They also gave us a hint on a puzzle we already solvedβ¦ Not sure why they did that because we spent more than 5 minutes trying to understand what the GM was talking about. They confused us - making us think we missed something when we didnβt.

Hands-on. Great need for observation. Generated AI was great.
Plot was fun! The surprises were great and enjoyed the lowkey spookiness.

The room was a blast and probably one of my top 3 in Portland! Varies types of puzzles, it's not linear so you can work on various puzzles, good amount of technology as well as laughs in the room. The owners are fun and witty and the atmosphere is amazing. I've already recommended this room to many of my friends who enjoy escape rooms.

The best escape room in the state of Oregon. Seriously a fantastic, grounded story with great puzzle mix, fun interactions and refreshing reveals! The environment and props make this room. Everything feels so authentic and it makes for such a clean experience. Book this right after Lombinoβs for a cohesive, continuous story and a great double header of puzzling. Patrick was so welcoming and made our group memberβs 100th room a memorable experience. The lobby was also the best Iβve ever been in, hands down. Go, book this now. I promise you wonβt be disappointed. πΈπ°ββοΈ

Operation Gryaznayavoda or OG is a memorable eclectic room in Portland. The storyline is unique, our game master is hilarious, and the puzzles feel rewarding to solve. There are only 2 rooms in this location so if you have to choose one, choose this one! Highly recommend getting a group of 3-4 for this room. We did it with a group of 3 and it took all of us. Parking is limited so get there early. The location may be tricky to find too but itβs all part of the experience.

Patrick was such a great host. We ran this room with 3 people, but could be feasible with 2. Immersive from beginning to end. The storefront and introduction to this room was an absolute blast. I was surprised to find that this room landed in my top 10 just because of the performance. This was a great adventure filled with puzzles and story.

A great room! There was a lot to work on simultaneously, so it was excellent for a large group. Despite the number of things to do it was always clear where to focus. Great diversity of puzzles, some fun mechanics, and a nice crescendo with the final puzzle. A little bit on the tougher side, which was perfect for our group. Overall, highly recommended.
