The Ripper

This has to be one of my favorite escape rooms, and the scariest one to date. From start to finish we were immersed in the story, the puzzles felt on par for the story, and had a blast! As soon as we entered the atmosphere was exactly what you would want in a scary escape room! The noises, effects, and gizmos all elevated the experience. It kept us all on our toes and super freaked out, and very motivated to get out LOL. The story stayed very true to the real life story (or as much as possible with a time travel story haha) and there's even some nods in there to the real story. I will warn there is a section where a few members of your team must get an electric shock, and that it was a little stronger than we expected, but it was okay in the end. I believe if you wanted, they would let you skip it. The folks who run it are super nice and care very much about your team having the best experience. Lydia was our game master and was everything you would hope for in a game master. Overall if I could go again and take more friends I would.

I have to call out two significant safety issues that prevent me from recommending the game to anyone. Apart from them, I did otherwise enjoy the game and hope that management will fix the issues quickly. The first issue is that at some point in the game, the entire team was physically locked in a space with no emergency exit option. I can think of ways to do this safely, but if there was a fire or something, our only option would have been to try to break down the door. The second issue is that at some point in the game, the entire team will end up taking an electric shock *across their chests*. While their waiver does specifically mention an electric shock and they warn you pregame about getting shocked, we all assumed it would be maybe one person would get a tingly hand. Doing it across the chest seems like it vastly increases the chance for something to go wrong. I also thought their in-game reason for doing it made no sense, even by escape room standards. It's a nice set, and the puzzles made sense and mostly felt good. Lighting was a little dimmer than I would have liked, but not terrible.

The ambiance was wonderful. If you are old like me and have over 40 eyes it was probably too dark. I did have to use my cellphone flashlight a few times to even have a chance. Gamemaster was good, we talked about when to nudge so we weren’t frustrated unnecessarily. I would recommend highly and would put this room in my top 10 list.

Loved it!! Our GM Zack was great! The story flowed well. Puzzles were nicely done.

Really fun room! Puzzles were challenging but all made sense and not unnecessarily hard. Staff was super nice and gave good hints when asked. Loved the puzzles and the decorations. The room really felt well thought out over all. Would definitely recommend!

Incredible atmosphere and very good puzzles. It is more spooky and eerie than scary, but the escape room itself is amazing!

This room was great and the GM was very helpful, they are very accommodating at this location as one of our party members has some mobility issues and brought their service dog. They were able to play the game and also leave the room when needed without causing the game to be ruined.
