Its been a while since I've done a room here but I've never been disappointed. The owners take a lot of care designing the rooms themselves and it shows. The staff here is one of the best I've experienced.

This was one of my favorite rooms, and my second favorite here. It had some very fun puzzles, though some were hard for us to accomplish.

30 escape rooms
Even 7 years later, this still stands out as one of the best rooms we have ever done. Aside from the first part of the game, there is almost no text/language elements (as part of the "Alien" part of the game), something we found delightful and entirely novel at the time. Many of the puzzles are deliciously tactile, and there aren't a plethora of conventional locks like a lot of escape rooms. As with every room at Maine Escape Games, it is crafted with an amazing amount of care and attention to detail. We've been looking for 7 years for something to kick this out of it's top 5 spot, and after ~100 rooms, we still haven't found it.
Gameplay
This still has one of our favorite puzzles of all time. The flow is amazing and it's achievable by two players, which my husband and I love. It was so great we brought our kids back (8 and 9 at the time) and they were equally obsessed.

Story
This is the only minor strike against this room. There's a slight stretch of why you wind up on a spacecraft. Not enough to distract, but I wonder if it would be better to start directly on the ship.

5 escape rooms
Six of us did this room and the layout is super cool and surprising. The puzzles got more involved and interesting as the game progressed. A good time for novice gamers.
Gameplay
Loved the flow of this room. Some of the puzzles were super hard and I’m still not sure how we “solved” them, but enough of the puzzles were just the right amount of hard that we felt victorious in solving them.
