It seemed like a good idea at the time… To sneak into the barbershop to look for food and then find a way to keep warm. Little did you know that this barbershop belongs to the infamous Sweeney Todd. The demon barber of Fleet Street is now on his way back… If you’re not gone by the time he returns it might be more than just your hair getting cut…

Really enjoyed this room. Some neat, well themed puzzles with excellent hosting by Pete who gave the perfect nudge when needed and still left a good sense of satisfaction on the escape. We will certainly be back to do their new rooms when open

It’s taken me a long time to write this review as I reached out to the GM afterwards due to being concerned about their mental wellbeing, but heard nothing back. The game itself was ok, nothing special despite the brilliant theme as it had a shabby homemade feel to much of it & clearly needed quite a lot of TLC. There was an issue in the game which meant we were able to unwittingly do something out of order. This prompted quite a bizarre & unexpected reaction from the GM & whilst I won’t post full details of here in order to preserve their dignity, it’s safe to say that we won’t be going back to this venue whilst they’re potentially still working there.
Flowed reasonably well

One of the items opened when it shouldn’t have, allowing us to move forward without finishing (or realising that we’d missed) a puzzle. The GM suddenly appeared in the room to tell us that we’d finished & could go back & do the bit we’d missed, which we chose to do. He reset the item that shouldn’t have opened. The second time through, that wouldn’t open, so we were left with the clue we’d previously missed, but not the other half! Not ideal & quite an anti-climax!
