59 escape rooms
Before I begin my review of the room, I'd like to firstly give a shout out to Ace, my game master. Ace was incredible from start to finish, they created an excellent atmosphere before the game has even begun and very clearly went over everything we'd need to know. Finally, they chimed in at the perfect times to provide assistance when we were falling a little behind, which resulted in us finishing just before time ran out. Thank you once again, Ace! Your love for escape rooms shines in the way you do your job. As for the room itself, this has taken up the mantle as my favourite game in Sydney, and I don't think it'll be losing that place anytime soon. The theming of the room draws from many historical timeframes all at once to create a very content rich experience. At times I felt like a part of the French revolution in the 1700's, later on I felt like a french spy during the world wars and for a moment, I felt I had taken on the role of an unlucky citizen caught in an attack on the city. It's for memorable moments like these that we play escape rooms. After 1 or 2 years people are likely to forget the puzzles themselves, but they'll always remember those moments that captured their attention. This game was absolutely full of these moments, and the puzzles were simply the mechanics to flow you into those moments with a sense of achievement. While this room contains a large amount of puzzles that I thoroughly enjoyed, years from now I will remember the wonderful time I had, and the many personas I took on along the way. Thank you for this experience.
