Tesla's Time Machine

Overall this location’s rooms are solid, especially for the price point. A mixture of tech and locks. The location is really successful at very thematic spaces, and multi-room escapes where each room within the escape is quite unique/fun to open up and poke around in. I think their sister location close by (Keymasters) is more ambitious in both puzzles and set design, but again no complaints with these rooms. Teslas Time Machine was maybe the least impactful and impressive of the 6 rooms we did. Felt a bit Trapped-adjacent in terms of puzzles and set (for a time-machine room it wasn’t very transportive in comparison to what they’ve been capable of in their other spaces). I enjoyed the non-linear aspect of the room though!

Room needs a little polishing and maybe more of a story to get into it. Overall a great room but was just a bit meh.

I Loved the theme/atmosphere of this one, lots of work done on the sets :) The game master was that same super nice person that we got each time we went to Next Level. Reading the other comments about this room helped set our expectations of this room and ask for clues as soon as we were stuck, all pretty fair. Over all I loved this one :) I wouldn't do it as a first room though, get a bit of experience in first...

I really enjoyed this game. There were a few broken parts which we needed to have a host come in for but overall the game was a good time.

Overall enjoyed this room, had some fun puzzles and wasn’t too difficult. The room design looks great and the staff there was awesome !

If I could give it a middle-of-the-road rating, I definitely would. The room does have a fantastic atmosphere, and similar to the Thompsons' escape room, I really admired the effort put into the technology and the mechanisms. However, this particular room felt a bit too linear, which caused us some significant slowdowns. The puzzles also weren't always clear, leading to moments where only half of our group was actively tackling puzzles while the other half tried to make sense of things. On the plus side, we did receive plenty of hints, and they even gave us extra time, which was a nice gesture. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this room for first-timers, though, as it proved to be quite intimidating and challenging for the two newbies in our group.

All rooms at Next Level are great, played them all in one day, they are some of the best games anywhere.

I would give this about a 7.5/10. Multi room, which I always love. Some little technology challenges - it was a bit finicky and may have slowed things down. Wasn’t always clear where you should focus your attention with the linearity of it. First room was deceivingly easy but the others were a bit more challenging, so down think because you whiz through the first room you’ll be finished with lots of time to spare. Would still recommend, but a bit more challenging than the average room.
