Jack The Ripper

I liked everything, but it wasn't one of my favorites.

I rate this escape experience a 2.5/5 (ck out my bio for rating system). We were hyped after doing Top Secret at this location which I really enjoyed (4/5) but this one paled in comparison. I give the set/theme a point. It's a spooky room so it portrayed that for the most part and followed the theme. The GM took out the main jump scare so that's an option for those who don't prefer that (my hubby 😉). I give the puzzles 1 point. They were ok but NOT intuitive as evidenced by us needing a lot of direction from the GM. There was little to go by in many areas of the experience. In these instances, I find myself just wasting time trying to come up with something and then when a clue comes, I think 'How in the world would I have ever come up with that?? '. That's this room. So my enjoyment gets a half a point. There was definitely a lack of flow with the puzzles which took away from the fun for me.

This room is a bit challenging because the puzzles aren't as obvious or straightforward as in the other rooms. You have to think outside the box a little and try different approaches.

It's a great feeling to walk into the room and think there aren't any puzzles. There really aren't many puzzles, but the ones there are complex and really make you think. It's a good room—you have to think outside the box.

Not a lot of puzzles, but very complex ones! Amazing if you have a person with mobility issues since there's always a work around for it (as long as one person is abled)

A simple room with very few puzzles, but interesting and challenging ones. The GM gave valuable tips aswell. The only downside to it is the fact you can't do this without hints, but if that's something that doesn't bother you, then you should give it a try!
