In the darkness of the ocean your submarine engine shuts down and you begin sinking, you only have 60 minutes of oxygen left in the submarine. Your crew has to figure out where the reactor is, turn the engine back on and make your escape. As soon as you enter the submarine you and your crew have to solve puzzles in order to move on from task to task. The submarine is not your traditional escape room, with no physical padlocks and keys, you are not doing as much searching as you would in your traditional escape room, this is more using what you are given and connecting the dots on how you can use what is in the submarine to solve the puzzles. A door is locked? A key wont open it but solving a puzzle might. You only have 60 minutes to complete all the tasks.

Loved this room. Second or third best at Hint Hunt. Nice flow, some creative puzzles, great staff. Nice plot with a really satisfying conclusion. The previous feedback about red herrings seems to have been resolved. There were a few things that weren’t part of the room but they were clearly marked.

It was fine, classic type of escape puzzles, some interesting/unique perspectives to take on some of the puzzles which was fun. The major downside is this is/was originally two escape rooms combined into the same space. However now it is only 1 room with all of the other props and inputs for the other room still in the space. This leads to a lot of “red herrings” or lots of “not part of the puzzle” signs on things that clearly used to be interactable. I’d say to remove them but then I feel like the room would feel quite sparse (which the set design was solid, it really felt like a sub bunker!). As a result probably my least favourite room at this location but still worthwhile if you’re here already. PS they kept telling us the room was non-linear (and the website mentions this), but what I think they mean is it’s a linear room where you will have access to some tools before you need them. There was no real time where we could have finished the puzzles in a different sequence.

This room was the first room I did at hint hunt and well the atmosphere was excellent I felt like there was an over reliance on video games computer stuff and not enough physical puzzles. The starting was also very confusing for us and we did this as a group of 5 with two members having a lot of experience.
Beginning of the room was confusing. The remaing had frequent computer usage.

A good 'submarine' experience so far... The puzzles mostly felt linear. The room design is amazing. Would have preferred to do Torpedo but it was not available (not sure why).

Submarine is a unique room that can be played twice in 2 very different ways. But that is also very obvious when you play it. The set design is fun and the puzzles are on point but you are left feeling like you're missing out a bit with all the fun puzzles you can see but don't get to use. Still a good room with some unique puzzles and worth doing but I wish it was all one big experience and you got to play everything!

We did this room with a team of 5 people. The set design was top notch, although some of the technical elements seemed a little worn. The set was used for at least 2 different types of rooms, one was called Submarine - Torpedo which I felt was the better of the 2 rooms i played at this location. Nonetheless, this was still a pretty good room that wasn't too hard to solve.
