The Gambler

We really enjoyed this room. It is lock and keypad heavy but we don’t mind that. There were several things that different people can work on, but it is pretty linear in a sense that everything needs to be opened before people can work on different tasks. They have some good rooms and they are very nice here.

This was surprising!! It’s small but so well done!! The puzzles were amazing and we were scrambling the whole time! I can’t wait to do more at this location!

Another solid room at Breakout KC. Number and lock intensive for sure which can get pretty repetitive quickly. Enjoyed how much there was to do. Could’ve been more immersive but not bad for the space they had!

Breakout KC has a formula. It’s a solid formula, but all of their rooms are fairly mechanically the same. Loads of 4 digit codes, and you have to figure out which one is which by trial and error. Tons of puzzles in parallel, which is fun for a larger group. Puzzles were well integrated into a casino theme, but the story was really minor. We set a monthly record!

A solid room with unique puzzles. Not as immersive as some, but you have so many puzzles to solve, you won’t have time to notice! The ONLY thing we didn’t love about this room is that you have all those puzzles to solve and just as many locks to open…but almost nothing to link the puzzles to the locks, so we lost a lot of time trying answers out on multiple locks. We can’t say enough great things about our game master, Caleb!

This game was definitely challenging! Fun but challenging!
