The Legend of the 7th Stone

Incredibly easy. For having to pay extra for only having 2 people. This is the first escape room I felt I didn't get my money worth. We barely used over half the time allowed. Only asked for a couple hints, and probably would have been done earlier had we noticed doors were actually unlocking. If you only have two people I would go elsewhere. This was not worth the upcharge.

This was a fun room! We did it with just 2 players and I thought that was the perfect number. Very few lock puzzles, which was great. The story was fun too! We escaped with 20 minutes left, so I would have enjoyed some more puzzles to fill out the hour, (they could even add on extra puzzles just for groups that are moving through quickly, to keep the difficulty customizable). But their lobby says this room is a 2/5 difficulty, so I would say it was an appropriate number of puzzles for that. All around a really great room! Definitely would recommend!

Solid room. Great theme and well decorated. Fun game flow.

We had 6 people but could’ve easily done it with 4 maybe even 3. We did this one first because we had a few people who hadn’t done rooms before. It had a great atmosphere with easy to follow puzzles. Most of us were busy and working on things.

Escape from Alcatraz: The name says it all. The Legend of the 7th Stone: An ancient Egyptian mystery, a missing archaeologist, trapped inside a pyramid: this game had what it takes. But did we? The Great Outdoors: A landslide had trapped us at our camp and we had to find a way to find radio the rescue team. Pros: Wow! Escape from Alcatraz was an awesome escape room experience. First we must note that we did not escape. Still we left happy because of the fantastic experience from start to finish. The set design was top-notch and definitely among the best of the best. The subtle (and not so subtle) sound effects added to the prison ambience. The props further enhanced our game-play experience. The game master kept us on pace, interjecting hints as necessary to move us along. The progression of the game moved flawlessly. Our experience in the Legend of the 7th Stone and the Great Outdoors was equally as rewarding. Cons: The puzzles were difficult. This was not necessarily a bad thing but something to be aware of going into the game. Larger groups of 6 or so will probably do better than smaller groups. Thankfully the puzzles were all very logical and enjoyable to solve despite the difficulty. The game masters hints saved us from ourselves. Congratulations to North Valley Escape Room for earning the Escapeologists Set Design Award.

This room was well themed, had a few clever puzzles, and a really great surprise twist ending. We enjoyed it.

This was definitely one of my favorite rooms at North Valley, it had some really cool puzzles and despite being such a common theme was really well done and had some elements I’ve never seen before, including working traps as you explore the tomb. The game also had a very interesting twist ending which seemingly came out of nowhere and completely changed how you looked at and played the rest of the game.

North Valley always gives a good time, and this just kept up with the standard. Pretty basic Egyptian room and a cool twist at certain parts and the ending was alright but could've been improved in my opinion. Also, I beg of you North Valley (and any escape room place really) don't ever put a journal in a room again.

We did the other pharaoh room in the area which was just so well done. Hard to compare doing this one afterwards. This one was still ok though. Hate that this one had a journal in it. It makes it feel like work.
