Escape The Cape

This was an interesting room. Typically, if one thing that is lacking it is the set design and I love the puzzles. This time, I absolutely loved the set and the puzzles were just meh. The puzzles weren't terrible but they felt lacking from what I've usually experienced here. The set really tickled me. It is set on a stretch of beach and had lots of little touches that added to the experience and really immersed me into the story.

Puzzlescape is a company that remains consistent yet varies the actual gameplay. You can expect fun, simple games with a cute story attached. This game is one of their more basic offerings (nothing too unique like Legend of Pepe or Something Wicked), but definitely scratched my escape room itch with approachable yet enjoyable gameplay. If you’re already playing one of their two main games, this is a fun add-on, but it isn’t an absolute must play.

Our group of 8 -11 year olds had fun. They could make progress on maybe half the puzzles, needed adults and clues to solve most but still fun. Really great atmosphere!
