Video Valhalla

This room was so much fun! It was such a unique experience and something I’ve never seen done before. We had a blast going back to the ’90s in this retro video store, and the attention to detail in the props was incredible. There’s so much to look at that you could easily spend a good amount of time just taking in all the little details. You can tell someone had a lot of fun creating this room. It was incredibly immersive and had some clever, creative puzzles that I’ve never encountered in other escape rooms. I’d say this room is definitely on the easier side, especially for veteran escape room players, but that absolutely doesn’t take away from the experience. We did use one hint, but it was for something we had completely overlooked. If we had waited just a little longer, we probably would have figured it out ourselves! Overall, this was such a fun and unique room, and I’d absolutely recommend it. Sometimes it’s nice to have a room that lets you enjoy the theme and experience without being overly difficult!

Nice throwback theme to the video store days for the two of us who actually went to a real one!

Very interesting room.

This was named “Escape Room South Jersey” when we played

I wanted to like this! Such a cool theme! If you’re old enough to remember Be Kind, Rewind, you’ll be right at home. Two of the puzzles were intuitive and when that happens in an escape room, I start to feel defeated. It was ok at best.

We should have finished with much more time left but one puzzle took us more time than it should have because the puzzle set up was not intuitive. With a slight modification with how the clue for this puzzle is delivered would make it so much better. Over all a good room for families and some numerous aspects.

Great escape room with an excellent blend of story and challenge. The video store setting is spot-on and a lot of humor. Gamemaster had a great sense of when to let us figure it out and when to give a gentle nudge. We had a lot of fun playing this game.
