You and your friends love to play games and solve puzzles. You are delighted but also quite intrigued when you receive an exclusive invitation to meet with the owner of a famous toy store. When you arrive however, you discover that the store seems to be closed and the owner is nowhere to be found. The door suddenly springs open and you step inside. One thing is for sure: this is no ordinary toy store...

It's been several weeks since I've done this game and still sometimes I come back to think about the excitement that it was able to evoke in me. I find that with escape rooms today it is sometimes a trend to make them bigger, have more rooms and show the player as much space as possible. Sometimes that means that you think you have more puzzles left in a room and are not ready to leave yet, but the story ushers you on without giving you a sense of accomplishment/closure. The Toymaker is not like that at all. It gives you time to explore the space you enter, familiarize yourself with it, and when you feel like you have discovered everything of importance, it surprises you with new objects or cues giving new meaning to what you have thought to be just decorations. It rewards you for being attentive and observant, but it is also really not just a find-an-object sort of game. That is what was the pillar of my experience. My inner kid was squeaking with excitement the whole time. But it is not where the Toymaker magic ends. It is immersive, surprising and just so much fun. I do have to say that the ending was a little anticlimactic for me, and the story overall didn't seem like it got much focus - but to be honest it didn't hinder my experience at all. Maybe that was thanks to the very thorough debriefing we got afterwards. Great staff!

For me a must play room for Hamburg. It shows how a room can be fun without live actors. It has a lot of love in the design and the riddles. Also they have some good ideas to make it special. The end is not that exciting, but we enjoyed it a lot. What I also really liked is that the room has a mechanic to show you which riddle to solve next. So you won't feel totally overwhelmed with many riddles at the same time and can keep focus.
Good connected puzzles and really rememerable
It is without actors, but the design and the riddles make you feel fully involved in the story.
Really nice gm. She asked us beforehand about clues and we found a good way. We had just one or two hints and this was totally fine for us.

The story was amazing with a lot of great puzzles. The passion from the creators is really inspiring and transfered straight into the room. The decoration is down to the smallest detail and is very fun! We were just standing and watched everything in the beginning because there were so many fun props
Amazing flow and great storyline from the beginning

The story was originally written and every puzzle had a connection to the story
Hard
There is a lot of puzzles and sometimes we couldnβt solve the puzzle because we didnβt see the small details. The puzzles itself wasnβt hard, but our brains was kind of overwhelmed by the room and all the puzzles

Super cute game. A super cool toy/game in the middle was fun. One long time suck that only one person can do was slightly annoying - but the room is well decorated so I enjoyed the room while my partner did the time sink.

This is THE game to play in Hamburg. Immersive, creative puzzle design, some incredible wow effect moments, and, to top it all off, an amazing roommaster who truly felt passionate about us having a great experience. Thank you Lernart! (I hope thatβs his name:D)

This room was phenomenal. Excellent theming, nice logical puzzles that were generally linear, and a lot of fun. Entirely deserving of its good reputation.

As already known, the escape room is one of the best in Germany. We were not disappointed. The room was designed with great attention to detail. Every element had a purpose. We played it as a team of two, which left us with little time to fully appreciate the room. The only negative aspect is that the 60-minute game time is too short for two people to let the room take effect.

An escape room packed with all kinds of puzzles and mechanisms! I've never experienced such a "puzzle-packed" experience before. With the clock ticking away, it definitely gets your adrenaline pumping.
