38 escape rooms
We first played the room “Der Schacht” at this provider. The location and arrival have already been described, so they will not be repeated here. Overall, we enjoyed this room even more than the previous one. The setting was coherent and visually appealing. Minor flaws were present but did not significantly impact the experience. The intuitive game mechanics stood out in a positive way. Many processes are automated, so there is little need to actively push or pull elements, which contributes to a smooth and immersive experience. Doors are, of course, an exception. The overall atmosphere was well executed. The storyline was easy to follow and particularly benefited from a surprising twist at the end. Some of the puzzles felt fresh and unfamiliar to us, adding variety. In one instance, however, the game master provided a hint a bit too early, which meant we could not fully work out the solution on our own. All in all, this is a very well-designed room with the potential to rank among the better ones in its category. As with the first room, it is especially suitable for casual players or beginners. The stated difficulty of 2 out of 5 appears appropriate.
